Not a bad idea. Throw a pro mag on there like Tom. I'd like to see what it can do this year!

Was a bullshit morning, got there rain cleared up, they started cleaning the track, let it dry for an hour and out of no where the rain poured. We've got a pro test session next week I am ready for.

no need for the mag, the MSD 8 will work fine in this application. we just need to change fuel pump, wideband, and 8 injectors

The MAG will help if you switch to alcohol.

Just throwing it out there, if we do switch to methanol we would get rid of...

Chiseled 3000hp intercooler with 4" v-bands
Aeromotive Eliminator fuel pump(1400hp FI/700HP methanol)
Aeromotive Billet fuel pump(3600hp gas/1800 methanol)
Aeromotive 13110 Pro series fuel pressure regulator
AFCO Sirocco radiator 22 x 13 with Meziere 55gpm pump

I wouldn't say vultures but yes those would be the 1st round of parts that have to go.

I had some issues with my vacuum pump system. I initally had the valve covers feeding the star mountain motor pump feeding a moroso tank but it was getting oil in the pump.

So I got a Star air/oil seperator tank and added that between the valve covers and the pump. I still think I need a 2nd -12 to pull from the driver side cover but we'll cross that bridge next time out. The new tank has a section for pre-filter before the pump and a section for post pump to clean the exhaust.

The oil would get into the vacuum pump and restrict the vanes from coming out and pulling vacuum, had to tear the pump down and rebuild it and its dry now.

I never would thought about the oil limiting the volume in the vanes. Makes sence, now that you say it.

Losing all of those items would be nice. With the estimated weight drop how much in ballast would you have to add? Are you over your weight limit now?
