Doesn't look like we got much done this afternoon, got off work around 5 and worked for a couple hours.
Aligned driver and passenger door
Aligned driver and passenger fenders
Reconditioned all weatherstripping
installed weatherstripping on both doors and got upper sections ready
- Need to figure out if the upper strips use rivets or push pins(Christmas trees) Will find out tomorrow
- Mocked up wiring harness need to find a spot for the fuse panel
- Picked up Contact cement for carpet
- Crossmember fabrication is started for K-member

Rear suspension: Wolfe Racecraft Upper and Lower control arms, Wolfe Anti-roll bar, Madman/AFCO shocks, Heavy gussets on rear suspension

Fuel/water/battery

Fuel/water/battery as low as possible in car

Slowly but surely we're getting there. I've got a couple fabrication projects still left:

- Rear bulkhead between trunk and passenger compartment is 90% done, all sheetmetal is cut and laid in place, need 4 small strips for blockouts for the bar notches

- Need to find a place for the dry sump tank, thinking about moving the water pump forward just behind the head light and installing it where the water pump is.

-Need to finish up the front K-member, making a removeable crossmember, everything is in place for the crossmember to be made and parts are in house....

Done:
- Rear centered, pinion angle set
- Motor plate is now finished at the machine shop, need to make 6 spacers on the lathe for the fuel pump, dry sump and alternator
- all weatherstripping is done
- last two panels, driver and passenger drip rails are done painted and wet sanded

Phil

Still putting it together, ran into a snag with the driver motor plate, the dry sump was causing it to flex so we added 2 blocks between the mounts.

I'd love to get a couple shakedown passes in and set something up so we can get all the local guys including you and Childress with his new monster.

Phil,
Are you running limiters to prevent for and aft movement of the engine and trans? Just curious because I saw no mention of it in your posts or pictures. From my understanding it is pretty critical when you are running just motor plates.

No limiters, from everyone I talked to if you run a 1/4" aluminum front motor plate and a rubber trans mount in the rear you don't need limiters.

Today was a busy day.
- Got the removeable front crossmember fabrication working, basically its done except for boxing the mounts on the K-member
- Carpet for rear of car arrived
- Madman sent us a 10# fire surpression system which we'll install tomorrow

Ordered hopefully one of the final rounds of goodies:
Smaller transmission cooler to mount inside of my water cell
Pinto manual rack and pinion having clearance issues with a standard mustang rack
Autometer Oil pressure sender
Eye bolts for crotch strap mount
-12 fuel filter and a box of -12 fittings

Man today was a great day... My dad came over and we wrenched for a couple hours getting alot of stuff done. We've got an appointment saturday to get the Chassis Certified but we've got no steering in the car. The rack and pinion fabrication isn't done yet. Pics to follow shortly

On a side note my birthday is sunday and the UPS dropped of 7 boxes today, 5 of which I ordered. Apparently my wife got the idea to get me a Hans Device and a new Simpson helmet for this year. Can't say enough about her, love her to in soo many ways.
