On a side note my birthday is sunday and the UPS dropped of 7 boxes today, 5 of which I ordered. Apparently my wife got the idea to get me a Hans Device and a new Simpson helmet for this year. Can't say enough about her, love her to in soo many ways.
now thats badass. she just had a kid and with all the new baby drama she was thoughtful enough to get you that stuff.

Damn we thrashed tonight. We got the pinto steering rack, chopped.... Modified.... and Mounted. The car is loaded up in the 28' trailer and we're heading off tomorrow morning to get the chassis certified.

Damn its been a busy morning, got up @ 6 and headed over to the chassis shop. NHRA Inspector was running late but ended up getting there around 8:30. He said the chassis looked great and gave us our 25.5 certification. He commented about the quality and overall build. He said he has seen a couple of 25.5s that he was unsure of but mine was very complete.

Haven't done much planning yet. I initally built the car to race locally in "Real Street" which is our drag radial class. Eventually I'd love to race is some of the bigger drag radial events but that depends on how fast the car ends up.

Phil, your car looks awesome. I'm very impressed with your quality and the time frame you have kept. You make the rest of us look bad.

 Your hilarious. I make what you pay in taxes in a year so what are you talking about? Stop being alittle bitch about the bug and bring it over so I can fab up some turbo parts. You need something thats turbo, T/A 4 wheeler or the bug. You choose.

Everyone talked about the AN fittings leaking in the water tank so I cut a hole in the tank and welded the cooler directly to the aluminum tank

Transmission cooler

Fire surpression mounted

Phil, how tall are your wooden blocks that you sit the car on?

They look handy, might have to make me a set

Did you make them with 2X6's?
