Too late, I think we just found a solution for the lifters. I'm heading over to the machine shop tomorrow and will return with good news.

I've got alot of pics but no time to throw them all up, here are just a couple

Rough cutting for the mini-tub

Outside view of rough cutting

Mini Tub itself, pittsburg seam, mild steel

Lets say ample clearance.

Mockup for pushrods: 8.700 intake and exhaust

Double roller, LS2 dampner, torrington bearing

1/2" head studs, standard sized additional holes

Cobra body pieces finally arrived painted black

No, I'm going to run them out of the box the same way I did my last set. I think they will do just fine. I can't see how hand finishing would help @ 30 lbs of boost.

I hand finished my combustion chamber and exhaust ports and exhaust bowl area as smooth as possible and left the intake cartridge roll finished on my old AFR's.

Mini tub is done, we've got 17" of room or so for the rear tires. I still need to sand the frame rails with a flap wheel and paint.

Looks great phil but without the back seat where you gonna fit all the hot chics

What did you use to seal the tubs?

3m, fast and firm tan seam sealer. I also have something I got from eastwood but it gets applied with a brush vs a tube. The tube is easier for something like this.

Lookin good Phil. That 3M seam sealer is some good stuff. I use it in my body shop. You gotta let it dry for a day or so before you paint over it or it will stay soft. I know you not painting it right away. Just a tip for future reference.

HAHA yes the side panels are fun to trim aren't they?

I had my tub raised all the way up to the top and I had to cut a lot of mine out and when you have those curves and bends it gets a little tricky.

I just cut some and then kept pulling the panel on and off over and over and over taking a little here and a little there until it left like an 1/8" gap all the way around because I plan to cover mine with something, carpet or some kind of coating.

Did you make a pattern or just eye ball it and cut a little at a time?
