Something about some odd looks from people out in front of a restaurant .

That's the best part

Even better when you walk in and everyone is glaring at you and you find out your car made EVERYTHING shake

Does the spike in RPM represent the tires coming loose?

Lime green = 7.2 pass
Blue = 8.06 pass
Time zero is the same known MPH in both runs where it was hooked up. Shawn and I spoke about our last pass and this just shows what we were talking about. The last pass was ALOT more agressive. The car was .7 faster through 1st gear.

Data looks good from friday....
93 to 203mph 23.16mph/s
172 to 204mph 22mph/s
2.4 second backhalf = +48-52mph out the back
Still heavy 6-8% of fuel
cylinders still need tweaking

Car is going to fly very soon

Those are nice results given the issues. That's kind of what I was alluding to with my last comment about thinking if it could go that quick. Shawn pretty much said what I was pointing towards needing more runs to get the unforseen issues out of the way.

By chance does anyone have the round break downs with ET / MPH ?

Well this weekend I've got nothing to hide. We changed injectors, they didn't work. I've got a company working out the details why they didn't work. We went to bigger headers which required laps to figure out where they like to live(made 1.5# less boost at the same RPM. It took 3 laps to get it to the right boost pressure.
You looking for breakdowns for the class?

Phil, have you pulled any of the main caps to see if last year's issues are 100% taken care of? Take it to PM if need be.

Well I just spent the last 4 hours of my life reading this thread. The damn thing is like a novel (and I mean in content, not length)... It's complete with characters, drama, overcoming obstacles, and sounds like a pretty happy ending. It's awesome that there is more than 2 years of several people's lives documeneted almost daily here. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through all of you.

Congrats on all of the fantastic work and one bad *** ride. The pictures and videos make me proud and I didn't have anything to do with any of it!!

We got some good news and bad news today. I made the 3 hour trip to Virginia Speed to have shawn check the motor out to make sure the changes we made last year fixed the crank flex, mains moving, and increased reliability. Shawn tore the bottom end down and its exactly what we expected. The main girdle has reinforced the bottom end and now the mains/webbing/caps don't show any signs of movement. The billet crank seems to be doing its job and living up to its name. We're going to throw in some new bearings and head gaskets and get her back together. Overall I'm happy.

Bad news is we got a call today that our new injectors probably won't work with the BS3.

What is the issue with the injector? Why are they "different"?

That's good that the bottom end is holding together. That massive wait on the crank seems pretty worth it now.

Injector wise it sounds like it is time for 16x160s. I don't think you'll ever have any fueling issues at that level.

That sucks on the injectors. Was that the new ID set? I checked on the pricing for a set, whew, they are up there.

Glad to hear the girdle is doing what is thought it could. I was worried like everyone else the engine was going to give up again.

Hrmmm, basically I've got alot of finger pointing going on. The last thing I heard is that due to the impedance of the injector there isn't enough power to open the injector. Someone said that no ECU would be able to run the injectors from Motec to fast to BS3.

Basically
16 volts + 8.5 ohms = 2 amps. And I don't have the figure but the injector guys are saying it takes more than 2 amps to open the injectors.
