Thanks guys. Got some more work done this morning, got some of the brake lines done with the exception of the brackets, will finish them up thursday when I pickup the line lock from my dads house. Also fab'd up the BS3 mount, it will sit in front of the center console below where the radio would sit.

You're going to want the BS3 where you can get to it very easily. You'd be surprised how many times you need to get to the box for this and that. Getting that plus all of your fuses/breakers where you can get to them without having to be a contortionist or to have a dozen different tools out is going to be a big help.

A big coil of copper tubing in a big loop inside your water tank works pretty good. Otherwise you can run some of those other ones as well as to make one by using a smaller intercooler core and pump water one way and trans fluid the other way. As far as external coolers go the Derale 16 pass cooler with fan works very well.

I've made my mind up, we're going to shoot to get it running and somewhat tuned this month(october) so I can try and make some shakedown passes next month and maybe make a race or 2.

I see what bar you are talking about, I would take out the little gusset and run a bar from the cage by the floor up where it passes through the firewall, it will triangulate it better and be a lot stronger.

It will also give you a nice place to custom make a plate to mount your electronics on.

Are you going to add a bar running down to the frame where the front strut is or just leave it welded to the one spot in the front?

Are you planning to tie in the strut tower to that bar some how?

We made some small progress this past weekend, almost ready to pull the motor and start assembly...

Due to the nose bars we had to relocate the water pump rearward and down 1"

New water pump location

Intercooler mounts done, welded threaded 3/4" aluminum boss(s) to the tank and used DOM tubing for the struts

Downpipe progress

Downpipe progress 2

Getting a handle on welding

Downpipe front shot

Big *** fuel pressure regulator

Brace for brake box

I don't know. When I built my last motor I never thought it would be a pain in the *** to drive. Its soo loud and the car just draws too much attention. I sold the motor out of it and a handful of other things, I'm going to build another motor for it in about a month to get it back on the road. The car is a very clean 99 with 38k on the odometer, I'll probably end up selling it.

One thing I need to decide is where to mount the ignition coils. I'm trying to keep the engine bay as clean as possible so I need to put them either in the cabin or fender well.
