Default HVAC delete with motor in car

I'm gonna be deleting the HVAC system and putting a Mojave heater in. I know the dash has to come out and I have the Billingsley plate for the firewall. I was wondering how hard it is with the motor in the car? Any pointers . . . Thanks!!

I heard with the motor in, that in one bolt that hits.

maybe with the head off it might clear? Im gona look into it

There is one bolt thats dead center of the firewall but I managed to get it it out (10mm if I remember) with the engine and intake on. Other then that the whole mess comes out from the inside. The arrow in this pic shows where the bolt is, as you can see the engine is firmly in place.

Don't be afraid to hit that **** with a hammer... and rip the rubber mat off the firewall too, that's more dead weight while you are at it.

Yea, you just remove the two bolts on the column bracket and it drops down far enough. Helps to have 2 guys wrestle the dash out but you can do it by yourself - I did. You can also just rip the heater box out and it will break where that bolt is. I chose to remove the bolt The black insulation is pretty heavy too so get as much out as you can. You can leave the steering wheel on also, I just had it off since I was doing a grant wheel at the same time.

I pulled all of mine with motor in. There are three bolts on the firewall that you need to pull. One is under the pcm, one you can see, and the other one was behind the ds header. About halfway down the firewall. I used a really long extension with a 10m and a swivel. Slid it in under the header and got it out. The rest of the bolts are inside the car. This was on a '94 but I think it's the same.

That's for the heater core and blower motor...
