You might be a little too big for this seat, but one thign you can do is bend it out some, a bottle jack will spread the seat out a good bit to help. The 20 inch one you are talking about might just be right though.

One thing that you can do (what I did anyway) is mount the seat right on the floor on the 2 back factory studs, and attach it to the rollbar. I have pic's of how mine are mounted, this will probably help you alot. Putting them on the floor got me back and lower so my head isn't so close to the roof and my knee's not on the dash anymore, I'm actually alot more comfortable in the car now then I was with the stock seats.

Hoep this helps, and if you need the pic's lemme know I can send ya a link to them.
Yeah, I did that too, I mounted mine right on the floor, just drilled holes for the 4 studs stickin out the bottom of the seat and used nuts and washers to set the angle I wanted and then it's bolted on the top to the cage.

Congratulations of the weight loss. I've been on the old diet for a short while myself and i'm around 310. I'm shooting for 50 lbs by 2/15/2008. The joke around our shop was always that I losing weight would be the easiest, cheapest and best way for me to gain a few 10ths. Honestly, I got tired of hearing **** like that. Seats are cheap money wise. I'll be glad to buy another one if this one becomes too wide! Sometimes it feels good as hell to be a loser.

I'm at 277 as of yesterday, goal is to be at 230 by april 1st. If I get there then I should have the raceweight down to 3200 even, if the weight loss from the plans with the car get me what they supposedly will.

Then I'll end up adding another 40 lbs of chromoly to get the car legal again LOL.

Thanks man, it definately feels good to be a loser in some instances! I've done it before, and i'm hoping to do it again, just this time it's gonna take a bit longer cuz I don't have 24/7 to be in the gym! I went from 320 to 220 in about 5 months at the end of my junior year of high school to the beginning of my senior year. I kept it off for a few years and then slowly over the last like 4 years put it all back on! I get the same thing from my friends about the losing weight goin faster thing, it's a big joke, cuz I kept making my car lighter, but the raceweight wasn't changing cuz it kept goin back on me, hehehe! But my goal is to get back to around 250, 220 was way to hard to get too and keep! But I guess i'll see where i'm at when I get to 250, if I can keep losin, i'll do it!

I wasn't kidding about how wide the 20" seat is. It is too wide for me even with cover by a couple of inches. It is literally fiills the seat well area of the 2000 Camaro and the door bar has some interference as well does the door panel. This will fit, and would work, but it's just to wide for me. I need to be held into a good driving lateral position. I'll order an 18" today and return the 20".

I am almost at the same weight as you, I am 279. I was 188 3 years ago which was down from 267 a year before that. It has slowly creeped back up on my and now I weigh more than ever. I am going to start running again. I tried a 1 mile run but best I could do was walk 2 1/2 minutes and run 30 seconds. Best I time I could do in 1 mile was 14:49. Which is way slower than what I used to could do.

I don't see how you guys this big fit in a 17" Kirky. I bought one to put in mine and it is not a very good fit for me. I am still using stock seats now.

I dunno, the 17 inch prostreet seat fits like a glove.

I'm guessing that at 230 to 240 it's gonna be a loose fit, might have to get a 16 or 15 at that point.

BMAN on here has the 20 inch seats in his f body with I know at least a 6 pt. It's a tight fit, but then again if you need the 20 inch seat it's gonna be a tight fit anyway at that point.

I held on to the 20" Kirkey until the 18" got here. Once again, 2" makes a big difference. The 18" with cover on out of the box is a snug, but not an overly tight fit. It also clears the door bar where the 20" seat torso side support hit my door bar. Recall now i'm 6'1" and 310 now (go diet!!) and things are coming together using the 18" as far are being able to adjust the seat front2back, up&down etc to fit me.
