it tends to shake and hop real bad if you cant hit it with a ton of power.
I have noticed this a bit but not terrible in my case

Best way to find out what's right for your car/tire combo is to play with the pressure and see the effects, personally I would want the best 60 ft, stable driving without losing mph on the top end.

Try up or down a couple psi, and run whatever gives you the best launch. There is no magical number, you can build two motors, two cars, same exact setup part for part and each one will require a little different tuning, just the way it is.

I know everycar is going to be different but really the question is what is TOO low and will start ruining the tire or making it shake. Doesnt the radial tire have a stiffer sidewall compared to a et street/drag?

I run 12 psi in my 325 BFG's, anything higher and it shakes. BUT these tires are 3 years old. I just bought some M/T's...will test them soon.

you will KNOW when the tire pressure is too low! lol. it will shake the fillings out of your teeth and you might break some driveline/suspension parts.

The very least i have seen any drag radial tire run at is 12psi which didn't work too well. The like to be in the 14.5-20psi range.

I think start at 15 or higher, I think lower than that is problematic.

At 16 psi there was no shake at all it was smooth as butter but it didnt really bite very well on my car. The difference from 16-13 was dramatic. Yeah it chugs a bit but it makes it bite hard for me. I did make one great pass at 14 psi although it was only one out of four and less shudder.

the correct answer for tire pressure is whatever works on your car. not everyone or every car will work at the same psi the same way.
play with your PSI and your launch, start high and keep lowering them until your 60ft's stop improving.
even once you found that happy pressure you will still want to play with it a little on time shots sicne different tracks and different weather conditions may bring different results.
