got into arguement on tire PSI for radials
Got into a debate today at my work about tire psi on MT et street radials. When i was testing my car i had them set at 20psi (fairely new tires) and i couldnt get them to hook even on cement and a lot of VHT. So i said i need to dial my car in better and they said to drop my psi down to 10/12psi. So i said i didnt want to cause radial tires work with more psi compared to a drag tire with a wrinkle wall. Went back and forth for like 20 mins. Sooo.........
WHAT PSI ARE YOU GUYS RUNNING ON YOUR RADIAL TIRES???

I usually ran around 16 psi, depending on what i was looking to do and what surface i was on. Lowest i ran was around 13psi on the street, they were screwed to the rims, i would not go lower than 18ish if not screwed.

i have messed with 15-22 psi. i have hooked at 15 psi and at 22 psi. the problem lies is at low tire pressure, it tends to shake and hop real bad if you cant hit it with a ton of power.
overall, i have had much more sucess at 20psi. my car has gone 1.37 60' on the 325 radials
