Default Radial fronts and ET rears

I have heard that running radial tires up front and ET Streets in the rear is a bad combo. Can someone please explain why if it is? TIA.

I don't think it's so much of an issue at the track, but on the street mixing bias ply tires and radial tires can cause some ill handling of the car.

So even hitting higher mph speeds( 130+ ) is not an issue? There are several people over on the corvetteforum that claim it is very dangerous

I can't say that it's absolutely the safest thing in the world, but I was running ~132+ mph with 165R-15 radials on the front of my car. I never had any kind of issues.

If it makes you nervous, by all means don't do it.

I've ran that combo for a couple years without any issues.

Don't be mislead.. the skinny and ET Street/QTP combo is far from a good handling setup.. But it's not unstable.

that's all I run on the street! et street rears with 165r/15 radial fronts.

I gave up handling a long time ago, it's all about going FAST now...

I keep my radials on the front while running the ET streets on the rear and I find it gets a little squirrelly going through the traps.
