Default Shocks , fronts or rears first ??

Im looking at getting some new shocks and springs for the front (QA1's or strange) and some rear drag shocks (possible CE) , i dont have much money so i am going to piece it together, what makes the best 60 ft. improvement, the fronts or rears first ?

rears, you need to plant the power out back. usually you will set you front shocks light (loose) and your rears hard to plant your tires on the track instead of your rear squating on launch and waisting energy.

If you've got the rear set to where there's little to no squat OR anti-squat and you're not getting any wheel hop (ie: axle control issues), I disagree. The quicker you can get the front up and weight back, the better and more noticable it will be. IMHO, a drag rear sway bar even makes a bigger difference than rear shocks given the conditions above. Low 10's here, dead hooking on the stock rear shocks.

I agree w/ Crashinaz here also. I would get the qa1's for the fronts first. Stock rears will work fine for now.

the fronts will help you the most at the strip . you can pick up some comps for the back really cheap .

Fronts, cuz the stock rears are 50/50's and for automatic cars 50/50 is not a bad starting point. For stick/m6 cars they tend to need the rear shocks more more to for example stiffen them up to reduce wheel hop like when running drag radials.

Fronts. I cut 1.4x 60's all day on stock rear shocks/springs, and have cut as low as 1.37.

I have WS6 springs and Bilstein HD shocks. Can I change front springs/shocks and leave rear intact? Will it give me good 60's?
P.S. We have very slippery tracks here, so I must get max traction

For me I just threw in some comp engineering rears for the simple fact they are only $40 a piece, and then I never got around to getting a strange front setup yet for the camaro. Now with the T/A i'm planning on doing the same because I haven't priced the strange's yet but from what I hear they are a good piece and are priced right. Thats just my opinion tho. Front will definately give you more performance for weight transfer but if you only have $80 to spend then you can at least knock out the rears for the moment til you can get money to change your fronts over.

Rear 12 way QA-1's are about $150ea. I think the fronts are closer to $200ea.

Never saw a need for rears......If the car is set up right there is no squat anyways. My rears are stock issue 99', and this turd's 60' is 1.37
