Almost done, figured I'd bring this one back up with a few new pics. Got to say the guys at W2W did a great job working around what was there, after doing my own 10pt a couple years ago I have a lot of respect for guys that can do this stuff on stock bodied cars. This poor car has been through a 6pt bolt in roll bar, 10pt cage and now a 25.5. Hopefully thats it for a while..

Just have to do the carpet and put it back together, turned out really nice, now I just need a few hundred more HP to utilize it

Looks awesome. If I were to get a 6point now, could that be re-configured/added to make a 10point? Or is it totally different?

You can upgrade a 6pt, wolfe sells a cage upgrade for their 6pt bars so thats probably the best route. Or you can have a local chassis shop do it to just about any decent 6pt. Going from a 10pt to the 25.5 was a little different, it probably would have been more work to add onto the wolfe 10pt that was in then just cut out and start over.

Looks nice, did you do a before and after weight difference? How much work did they do underneath?

Looks good Kevin. You've got a little over one week, come on and get the thing together for pinks all out Gainesville!

There is a few bars underneath, lot of them are inside the car because I wanted to keep the exhaust. When its all together I'll weigh it, didnt change anything else really so it should be fairly accurate before and after. I would guess it added 50-60lbs over the 10pt.

Already canceled my hotel reservations, if I do finish it I'm going to run the procharger bracket race in Memphis that weekend most likely. I'm going to the all-out in Norwalk in June, one a year is enough..

Did the carpet a couple days ago (ozite), I came to realize I cant do carpeting with a **** Its race car quality I guess though, now that I did it once I can do a better job the next time, made the mistake of cutting out the console hole before I was dont and it ended up too big so I had to patch a piece in. As long as the glue holds I'll be OK. The rear paert I just used the old ACC lightweight carpet, since it was molded it fell right in. Too bad its not really black anymore after being a few years old..

But its done, have to do a couple little things underneath and its time to make some passes, kinds sucks to do all that work and go no faster. But I feel pretty safe in there now. Poor car is starting to look old inside though, after being completely disassembled several times to do a few different roll bars/cages and being raced quite a bit the last four years its starting to look its age - hard to believe these things are 10 years old already..

Looks real good KP, the carpet is tricky, I just did mine again, 2nd time around it took WAY less time, but didn't really come out much better/worse. If I wanted to take a whole week to do it it would be perfect, but like you, I said it's a race car, and it's better looking then alot of what I've seen so I will live with it.

That cage came out great, looks perfect. I do like that steering wheel, gonna have to make a point do to that now (thanks )

I actually carpeted the entire center console area, haven't put it back in yet, and am seriously contemplating if I am gonna. I kind of like the look without it.

Also looks like you have about 20 lbs of wiring to get rid of

i have seen some pretty bad carpet jobs at the track and mine doesnt look too bad, I have seen guys just throw ozite in with no glue and it looks like a wadded up black paper towel thrown on the floor lol.

I like the console, doesnt really weigh much, good place to store a tire gauge and a few small tools, run cards and whatever. Plus its easier to push my fat *** out of the car with it in there..

I'll leave the wiring for now, its probably 20lbs total if I take the fuseboxes out of the front. I have taken quite a bit of wiring out but the dash harness is still intact. Next step will be an ARC box and minimum wiring but i'm not ready for that just yet.

I just weighed it and its at 3355 with me in it. I'm 225, so I can live with that. Picked up around 50lbs going from the 10pt to the 25.5 which isnt too bad.

Looking really good KP.

I wish I still had the radio and HVAC controls so I could put them back in, albeit not functional.

I just started the !wiring mod.

This is the one that's freaking me out

tackling it tonight.

I use the radio faceplate power button and LED to work my data logger and I use the heater fan and mode switch to turn on the EWP and fan with the car off so they still serve a purpose. I plan on rewiring the car in the fall so I didnt want too spend too much time on the !wiring mod.

I ran it at 411 in January and February with the new engine. With the small blower and 12psi it ran some pretty easy low 5.80s. Figured I would get this done and out of the way now so I dont have to worry about it if I decide to step it up later in the year.
