Yeah, I like that setup. I was looking at those ad they look really nice, simple, and the distribution on them is great.

I'm thinking, edlebrock vr jr, cut the top of it off and weld a 4500 flange on and port it, hen add a diffuser 2 stage plate and a 4500 style TB on top of that.

Be a tight fit, but if the intake gets milled down when the 4500 flange goes on it will work, even if I have to cut the center of the hood out.

125 hit right off the transbrake should be enough with that setup to go 9.50, then I could always have the 2nd stage come in right as I pull 3rd gear, just to back 1/2 the track like mad

Welp, she's basically done, should've been driving her around right now, but we went to fire her up last night and nothin!!! So we started checking things, she's got spark, she's got fuel, but she's got no compression, ****** pushrods are too long and holdin the valves open cuz of the 20 thousandths I had shaved off the heads, so i'm just waitin on pushrods, will be here monday, i'm so pissed too, cuz she would've been running this weekend, damnit!!!!!

Anyways, here's pics of her done, from before we realized she wouldn't fire up!

Anyways, when I get the plate kit i'm gonna have to figure out what to do for an air cleaner, cuz this one fits right now, but I had to put a 1.25" riser between the tb and the air cleaner for the throttle arm to clear it and it just sits behind the windshield and that's with a offset to the front bottom piece, otherwise I would have plenty of clearance if it didn't sit under the windshield, any ideas on that guys?

Looks good D, but with all that time you didn't clean and/or paint the engine bay?

Hahahaha thanks, and no, I will clean it after I get her running, i'll just throw a tarp over the motor so I don't get the filter wet, I mean seriously though, who the hell ever sees the engine compartment!

I didn't want to go there, but yeah, that engine bay needs some love

I dunno if you can get a smaller diameter of that air filter, at last for when you're on the street, and when the car is sitting ( I know how sand loves to blow around in florida)

At the track I would take that thing off though, because it is probably a restriction,a nd if you were to ever have a backfire and it blew off it could jam in teh TB cable and get the throttle stuck open. Saw that happen one, wasn't pretty.

OH, and with that pin on hood, alot of people are gonna see the engine bay now, so get to cleaning that thing (after it's running of course)

She's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was gonna try and get some #'s out of her at the little 1/8th mile track in Miami last night, but got rained out, so I had to pull her back off the trailer this morning when I woke up and had the camcorder still in the truck ready to go, so I figured i'd shoot a little vid for everyone!

Can't wait to get out to the track and get some #'s!!!!

Still gotta work on the cold start a little bit, gotta rev her a couple times to get her to catch, only after she been sittin over night though, so i'll figure that out eventually.
