Default Rear QA1 Coilover experience?

Does anyone have any input on Spohn's QA1 rear coilover conversion? Im thinking of going this route to have spring options. The car see's very little street duty except to and from the track, however, I would like to be able to drive it daily if I wanted as well.

My concern is by locating the coilover in the place of the shock is that it will throw off the geometry of the suspension and I will get binding and such. Thanks!!

I've had the kit for about 2 years now. On the street the rear end bounces a little, but you get used to it. Its really easy to lower the car with the shocks on, but extremely hard to raise it. Theres not a real good angle to get the spanner wrench in there to tighten, but with the rear end hanging you can just reach your hand in and spin the nut down. On the track, the car is much more consistent. 60's didn't improve much, but I have to really overpower the car to make it spin. My only real gripe with the kit is that if you have your ride height set low enough when your rearend is hanging on a rack or on jack stands the springs come unseated from the top mount. So when you lower the car back down you have to stop right as the tires touch the ground, roll under the car, pop the springs in place, and then lower it the rest of the way.

Why not run a 10" coilover spring and use an adjustable spring perch, that way you can keep your shock and springs in the stock location?

more spring rate choices, unless you know of where I can find some that come in different rates that work with a perch.

i dont have a rear coilover setup, but i ususally just take the weight off the car and turn the spring it self. the spring has force on the nut, so they both turn together. easier than a wrench sometimes.

any 10" coilover spring will fit if you install the wolfe race craft adjustable upper perches.

They make a lot of springs rates for 10" rear springs for a f-body you'll most likely use from super light 130-200 pound heavy car rates, 150 is the normal drag rate.

I also have some 10" 150 rate coilover springs for sale at the moment 50.00 shipped.

Included a photo of how they look.
