Default Battery Relocation - Where?!

I had a post a few weeks ago about relocating my battery.

I can't fit it in the spare tire area, it gets too narrow

Don't WANT to put it in the Ttop area, since I'd still like to put my Ttops there

Wont fit where the optional sub goes, it hangs over into the Ttop area

any suggestions??? Be creative

Why won't it fit into the spare tire area? Look at the photo from burkharts site. I also had a battery in my spare tire area without issues.

they removed the bracket that holds the power attenna, plus their aluminum bracket is raised above the floor a bit.

the mini tub might have cleared some sheet metal out of the way also

btw I'm using a Summit plastic sealed battery box

I put mine in the middle of the trunk, and I just finished relocating the T-top holders. I can take pics if you want.

How about right here?

I drilled the holes, then used 4 5/16" machine screws w/washers to hold the plate down. Hasn't even moved yet, so the mount is pretty stout.

When I get time I'm gonna paint everything black and add carpet to make it look more concealed. And there is plenty of clearance between the T-tops and the hatch

did you just raise 'em straight up, or did you lean them towards the front of the car any?

For the most part they are straight up but we also bent the diamond plate on a slight 45* because it doesn't line up just right if it straight up only. You can kinda see the bend in the last pic. Also it has to be shimmed or it will be too wide and the tops will fall out.
