honestly i've just been extremely happy to see the times drop each time we go to the track.

hoping for a 5.2x pass next friday if the track is just decent. last race shane crowden put a 5.09 on our ***... lol

stepped up the kit last friday and ended up getting a win. not many cars where there but none of them could get down the track in qualifying and still only a few of us could get down in eliminations.

we really had to ease out the gate 2 round and ended up with a 5.70 on a 1.45 60'
came back 3 round to pick up the win with tighter and "fuller" track on a 5.55 with a 1.36 60'

looking back at the 3rd round we could have put another 5.40 down (probably a 5.3x) but hadnt seen anyone go faster so we played it safe. and i didnt have but a few passes with the new pills in the system.

during next test session a 5.3x (if not faster) should be reasonalbe even on a bad track.

it really just depends on what races are going on.

we race a few tracks most of the time.

i-57 in benton Il. 3 hours from nashville (mostly here cause its very close to where the car sleeps)
gleason, Tn 2 hours from nashville
music city in nashville, 40 min from downtown nashville

then every now and then we might hit bowling green.

we plan on doing some cage updates over the winter so we can race at some larger events in the south and midwest.

I have heard us43 is hooking good this year. Havent been able to go see for myself though as my car is still down

No, crossville is I40. US43 is out around ethridge/lewisburg if i remember correctly

picked up another win at i57 last weekend.
we just put a racepak on the car before this last race and holy ****. i had no idea how much i was leaving on the table. we are going to make a test session after this weekend and really work on the 330'.

we are already starting to make plans for the winter upgrades.

brodix head hunters
intake
cam
bigger carb
custom headers

looking to pick up another 200hp just on motor with the changes.

next year hoping to run 150mph in the 1/8th and have a consitant 5.teen car with a short deck BBC and 1 kit.

had some good results from our test session with our new racepak.

had a few 1.28 60' and was able to drop our 330' down to 3.53 from a 3.7x.

made 1 full pass which netted a 5.38 @ 138mph

getting a racepak is a must for any serious small tire car... the track really was about the same as it had been but i was able to take advantage of it and see what the car was doing. now i need to work on getting all my **** on by about 2.8 seconds and we should see a 5.2x pass

friday night was very dissapointing to say the least. during testing/time trials we were the only ones getting down the track and doing it at 5.3x at 143mph. track wasnt great as there weren't many cars going down the track, but i do feel like we have the suspension and chassis right, finally! this car can get down a pretty rough track and MADMAN is to thank for his help.

1st round started, no one had made a pass in about 10-15min and the track dropped about 12 degrees and dew settled in and we were the first pair out. I knew better and didnt follow my instinct and that made us go out 1st round.


good data was retrieved as now i know that the previous test session was better than i had thought when i saw what tuneup it took my car to go 1.270 60' the car was flat and left soft. the picture above was a 1.28 60' but now i know for sure it tripped the beam with the rocker panel and probably went atleast a 1.25.

i plan on stepping the kit up 6 numbers and shooting for 145mph+ and if we are at a good track i plan on hitting 5.2x's

here are some shots at the chassis shop.
car is getting quite a bit done.
update cage to 25.3
custom headers
lexan front windshield
re-wired
glasstech dash installed
racepak dash installed
race column
and some general weight reduction




will have more photos to post. this is just from the chassis guys phone that he can quickly update me with, without all the hassel of getting camera and going to computer. i will have some camera shots when there are detailed things i need to see, to let him know how i want them.

looking for it to come in at about 3200lbs and add back about 60lbs of ballast.
hoping to be a contender in Feb. at the Duck's race.

this past year the car was about 100lbs over weight and about 200hp under powered compared to what changes we have this year.

hopefully we will have enough test sessions before feb. to have random issues solved and be ready to start working on power management.

looking for atleast 145mph and 4.9x's
