ditto wilwaxu... you are asking a question about 2 cars that have the same exact motor and setup

the SS may be 50 pounds lighter though if that...

I disagree... WS6's have better airflow to the intake. Straight shot..... The SS's have to take in the air re-direct it 180 degrees go to the front of the hood then another 180 degrees to the air intake all the while it is heating the air up. You are also showing info for a 6 speed SS verses an A4 WS6. There might be a little difference in weight but a 6 speed will definately get better gas mileage..

The weight stated for the SS is for a convertible...aren't they heavier than a T-top car?

you cant magazine race. if they were identical cars then they would prolly be even...but no engine is made with the same power as the one next to it. so the answer to your question is inconclusive

Same car. Same driver + same 60' = same results (roughly).

The air intake between the WS6 and the SS means nothing.

no matter what there should be no more than a tenth difference in the 2 cars. Maybe if one hits a few bugs on the way down the strip it could slow it a little LMAO

a tenth difference at hte track would be like half a car on the street give or take if that

From a dead stop its up to the driver and traction. The RAM AIR of eiother car won't come into play until high speed (50mph-and higher in my opinion). Now if you are going from a roll of 60 or higher I would say the WS6 has a slight advantage in hp from the effective RAM AIR. BUT...you also have to take into account, not all LS1s are created equal. Even though they are built by machines each engine is slightly tighter or looser then another. No to drivetrains are equal either. These differences in tolerances are the reasons why you see dyno sheets ranging from 280RWHP to 320RWHP. You can have one 2001 M6 WS6 and it may dyno 290RWHP and then another completely stock 2001 M6 WS6 may dyno 320RWHP. Thats 30RWHP difference. Put those two WS6s on the Highway rolling at 80mph then jump on it. I would bet the 320RWHP car would walk the other one. This goes for any car, be it a SS, Z28 , C5, or ZO6...
