Default 26x10x15 stiff or 28x10.5x15 stiff for my setup???

Which tire will work best for my setup? I have decided on the stiff wall since I have a 6 speed but cann't decide on the 26x10x15 stiff wall or the 28x10.5x15 stiffwall. I am running a 4.11 gear. The smaller tire will put me right at the stripe with the shift light on but I am wondering if I will 60' better and more consistant with the 28". Please let me know what you think. Also do the stiff wall tires grow as much as a non stiff?? My rims are 15x10 Prostars...

Thanks
Mark

Do the stiff wall tires grow more or less than a non stiff walled slick?

28's will work best for you. Do the stiff grow as much as normal slicks? I doubt there will be very much difference in the growth.

Got the 28's on order. Hopefully I will get them mounted in time for test and tune on Wednesday...

If you need to create some room, drill a small hole in your rear gfx and then use wire to pull back the plastic, otherwise you might have to cut it.

I go for a thumb of clearance all the way around.

I would not run the tires lower than 13 cold, I like 15 cold.

Now check for an M6, but I've read that folks run the rear shocks hard so the car does not rock back and forth and unload the tires.

I have a adjustable lower control arms so hopefully it won't rub but if it is close I will do what you said and wire tie the rear facia away. I will start out at 15 psi cold as well. I have HAL R's up front so what should they be set at?

What kind of car? The camaro wheel is a little wider then a transam, my transam I had to trim the entire lip off the rear bumper cover that sticks inside (didn't change the side profile, just everything on the inside)

I also hammered in the inner well down by the LCA mount, and trimmed the metal away that's on the lower bottom corner in the front so that way the tire wouldn't run there either.

It is a Trans Am... I really didn't want to get into all of that cutting and trimming. I already hammered the innder wheel well. What tire did you have on there that rubbed that bad??

Quick Reply: 26x10x15 stiff or 28x10.5x15 stiff for my setup???
