usually $400 for a dyno tune. Your going to need a different catback to make it louder and it isn't worth blowing 400 for a tune since you haven't done anything to it. The whole point of the tune is to dial in the air/fuel ratio, shift points etc- it won't gain you any power. if you want some power throw in a comp cam, or headers, both will give you a minimum of 20hp and make it louder, then get the tune.

That is wrong. A good tuner can improve and pick up considerable amounts over a factory setup. I would recommend it if you have a GOOD tuner nearby.

Well that's a matter of opinion... in the case of an A4, ok sure. Better shift points and firmness tailored to the owner and performance along with smoother and slightly better acceleration. Other than that, wait for some mods. ONLY reason I got a tune when I was basically stock is because I bought the car with BAD knock and deleting the hypertech tune and pulling timing didn't get rid of the knock.

if your staying stock.... get a tune, you will pick up power and tq. and be able to play with a/r and shift points and so on..

300-350 for a stock car.. 400 for bolt on and mild cam/heads.. 450 for aggreeive cam/cam

norm

Prices vary, but be prepared for $300-$500 for dyno time and a good tune.

400 for stock or bolt on cars.
The LS1s leave quite a bit on the table. Average HP gains are in the 15-20 hp range bone stock.
LS2s/LS3s are a little tougher to squeeze power out of.
