compared to the 6 speed corvette with a slightly bigger cam and fancy trickflow heads, which see's significantly less drivetrain loss....

422/400 vs 437/418(or is it 415)

15rwhp and 18 rwtq over my GTO with an AUTO, and my "junk darts"

and that dyno was done on 91 octane in arizona, at nearly 100 degrees

i guess im not seeing the big selling point...

The selling point? TFS are cheaper and make more power. I don't think it can be made any more simple than that.

The only things that matter is cost vs. power and it's simple math at that point. I don't care if heads flow 2cfm or 2000cfm, if they somehow magically make more power at lower cost, it's a good buy.

Was it done on the same dyno, in similar conditions?

Here's what the point is... ignore the actual numbers (which I agree seem to be a little low considering I put down 420/400 6 years ago with a TR224 cam, mac mids, mail order tune, ls6 intake, and hand ported heads), but look at the gains from just swapping one set of heads for another set of heads.

I would have figured that he should have put down closer to 450rwhp with that size of a cam and those heads, but that's just my oppinion. I guess the Vengeance dyno isn't as optimistic as everyone says it is....

LMFAO!!!! If you knew what dealers make on the As Cast TFS heads you would never make the comment you just did.... Im not selling heads with this thread. I posted it because I THOUGHT IT TO BE INFORMATIVE...... Budget heads are the hot ticket these days and its clear the TFS heads out powered the DART heads on the SAME combo. Anyone with half a brain knows that a smaller runner SHOULD make more power under the curve, but in this case we went from a 205 to a 220 AND PICKED UP POWER ALMOST EVERYWHERE...

That being said, the OVERALL #s arent that great.. I agree.... BUT the gains speak for themselves...

Our dyno optimistic?? LMFAO... I wish... Our dyno #s have been backed up by big mph at the track TIME AND TIME again

I was joking Ron, but you know you guys hear it everytime you put together a solid 346 package that puts down close to 500hp that your dyno is a 'happy' dyno.

Numbers are numbers, and maybe his rings aren't sealing as well as they could, but a gain in torque everywhere going form one head to another is what this thread is about. Hindsight is 20/20 and this helps others not make the same mistake if they are looking to spend $1500-1700 on a set of heads.

I dont need to prove anything.. Our combos already have... Do your homework.

I love how you put "500rwhp" in quotes btw...

Your signature says it all..... Seems anyone who sells a product is a bullshit artist and we are all lumped together as one without ever being given the benefit of the doubt... I assume you are a racist/homophobic/sexist as well?

Damn KMS.1320, you act like Ron or Vengance owes you something... What's the deal? They don't owe you anything. So get off your high horse and stop demanding ****.

Now if you plunked down the coin to get a 500rwhp dyno and were promised 130+mph trap speeds and they didn't deliver, then you could argue. But until then, stop harassing people.
