his pulls were only taken to 5800 as the shop he went to knows nothing about cars.
He also still has the 98 heads on there. For everything considered they are not bad #'s but they could definatly be better with some more money.

I would just get the compression up before throwing the kitchen sink at it. Mill those heads and put a thin gasket on it. If you can do the labor, it won't cost you that much at all.
Of course if you have the cash, the go TFS + Fast and pick up a boatload of horses. I am a cheap bastard though.
