Nice looking graph Doug. You picked up a lot of power under the curve and even peak you are right. You fulfilled you goal and then some congrats. Standing by for the next round of tuning with the 95mm I'll bet money Lou is sneaking an ls7 MAF sensor on there also for the second round of tuning. I am guessing 522 rwhp 508Tq when its all said and done.

I hope you guys are correct. I have no knowledge about an ls7 MAF being swapped in. I down with whatever Louis wants to try on the motor. Just sucks being out of cash, because there certainly other things that could've been done but I am very happy with what I have so far. Louis has done an excellent job.

allngn c5, I was tired when I posted that. What I mean is you already had a lot of power. I know on paper and at the track it's a difference cause of the numbers. How much faster does it feel? Worth the money? Were you happy with your 346? Sorry for so many questions. I just don't want to dump money on a H/C setup for my 346 when I should be saving for a 402 instead.

Hey Bro, no offense taken, I was just making sure that you noticed the HUGE power increase between 2500 and 5500 RPMS. The engine even make more peak hp, and ton more TORQUE everywhere. As far how does she drive ?? I have yet to drive her. According to Louis and Sean shes a Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde. Idles at the light very calmly then turns into a monster when you hit the gas. I was very happy with my 346 but didn't like some of the big cam issues I was having. Also I had issues with my cometic headgaskets 2 yrs in a row. Using GM MLS this year !! From looking at the numbers save for your 402. No replacement for displacement. A H/C setup will always make more power with more cubic inches. The best thing is that it makes more power and earlier in the RPM range. As soon as I get the car back and have had an oppurtunity to drive it, I will be posting a detailed write up as to my opinion on driveability etc. Your question is it worth it ?? Forged motor equals potential for Nitrous, or larger heads and blower in the future. Couldn't do that with my old motor.

I can understand why, a max effort 346 needs more revs and takes alot more beating to make the same power. Especially on a stock bottom end. I wonder how my car would handle that much more torque especially with the traction issues I have now even N/A. Are you going to be running a DR?

Also I am debating back and forth between a 402 build and a FI build what made you chose to go this way?

Nice chart. Really shows how hard that little 346 had to work.

I was told that there are many more issues to deal with when it comes to FI ($$$) and more maintenance. I wanted a new forged motor that was going to last and take care of me, also provide a good base to grow from. (Nitrous, or Bigger heads and D1sc) LOL, I know I just contradicted myself, but the real reason on no FI, lack of money to do it right. I didn't cut any corners on this motor.

I am sure if he changed cames to something more comparable to that big cam in a 346 with the 402 the numbers would say a different story.

Good point Mark. A cam that would be considered BIG in a 402 would've probably made another 30 rwhp, which would throw off the graph a bit.

Quick Reply: LG Motorsports 346 VS 402 same H/C, its all in the stroke
