Default Dynoed My Car Today

Friend of mine was dynoing his 350Z, so I decided to bring my car up after work and see if it still put out the same numbers as last year.

Custom intake, custom true dual exhaust, Hinson headers, free mods and other minor stuff, with tune.

350.22whp/355.01wtq

Not to shabby for full bolt ons and free mods.

Yes, it's a M6 running an LS7 clutch.

I dynoed about the same last year. The horsepower was a bit lower, but every dyno is a bit different.

Times in my sig.

The 350Z has I/H/E with a tune. He put out 282whp. It's an '08, 306hp version.

I think he put out like 265whp or something like that stock. So he gained a decent amount. The car does low 13s in the quarter.... not too shabby. He hates the drag strip though. He's more into autoX, car control, response, and drifting.

Not heads... headers.

The new ones are pretty beefed up from the factory. However, his numbers are on the low end of the pack. There are a couple guys doing around 300whp with what he has. Who knows? Car still performs well despite the numbers.

But **** him, the story is on my LS1 car.

Damn 350whp. In your sig it says your ls1 is pretty much stock.

That doesnt make sense.. Maybe a generous dyno or theres something I'm missing.

I have almost the same mods and I put down about 310whp and 325wtq on a mustang dyno.

Do you have ls6 heads on it or something?

A car with a lot of bolt on parts is "pretty stock" to me too. Most my friends have switched to 383's or 402's, so I think my cam only 346 is "pretty stock" @ 387hp. lol

I'd be happy with 350/355. Look at my torque with a cam.

You'd be surprised what full bolt ons, some tweaking, and a good tune does to an LS1.

Are you A4? My car is 6M, which put down more usually. I'm sorry you're putting down average numbers.

Ls1/T56 Powered, Nitrous Assisted

Thanks

I was talking about off the bottle numbers of course. I havent hooked up the nitrous yet.

I have JTR 1 3/4 long tubes with true dual 3" exhaust and straight through resonators with just a ported TB. Otherwise a stock ls1/t56. I thought my numbers were along the lines with average. I was hoping for more like 325 with the long tubes and exhuast but... so is life.. hell your numbers would be good for an ls6 with your mods much less an ls1

go get dynoed on something beside a mustang dyno for one..

and two.. you probably know this, but an ls6 block doesnt give any more benefit in hp... the heads/cam/intake do..

I said ls6 not ls6 block, As in the engines out of the c5 z06s, which usually do put out about 350whp

I dont think 350 rwhp is that outragious for a bolt on LS1.
My car made 346/361 at the wheels still using the LS1 intake.

I would have to look on the dynosheet. I think it was a dynojet though.

Definitely solid numbers!

For the 350Z, those newer ones are definitely better than the first ones. My friend only made 245 rwhp with intake, headers, and exhaust on his 350z. I believe it was a 2003 (whatever the first year was).
