Just updated the top end on my LS2 427
LS2 BASED 427 swapped out my PRC 2.5 HEADS, FAST 90 AND 248/254 .601/.610 114+4 CAM ( MADE 507 RWHP) for
TSP LS7 Heads w/ new TSP .700 lift spring kit, Ragin Racin ported LS7 intake, New Rectangular port specific Comp LSL lobe 251/267 .660 115 cam
Made 570 rwhp
Peak was only up 62 but @ 7200 rpm's im up ~ 100 rwhp & 70 rwtq
Found 2 issues during/after the dyno runs:
1. I Realized after the pulls that my twin cutouts were only open ~ 25% , Switch went bad and I wasn't in the car so didn't notice the sound difference. Dyno room is like an echo chamber so from out side its hard to tell. I run a stock TI exhaust and with the old setup I gained 38RWHP closed vs 100% open. Will know tomorrow how much 25% - 100% is worth on the new setup.
2. Running out of air, KPA was dropping from 100 to 95, removed filter from Vararam and drop was reduced to 97 - Going to Look @ MAF / Air intake options options after a few runs with the cutouts fixed on Monday.
Cutouts are now fixed and waiting to determine best big MAF route after a few more pulls w/ cutouts 100% open. Curious if the exhaust was limiting flow and causing any of the MAP sensor drop.

Nice gains. Post up the graphs when you get a chance. I'd love to see your power in the mid-range.

BTW - I sent you an PM a few months back to talk about the cam but I couldn't catch-up with you. I thought maybe you didn't remember me from the early days with our pal Mike Senia. Each of us testing 3 different converters a month. When I was working with Dave Inall developing the F body Twin Turbo kit on my old car "Fast Orange", Hell over 8 years ago now.
FYI - Mid range is a little soft but I race on the skreet mostly and the car weighs ~3050 so i didn't need/want a lot of mid range torque. I run 4.10 gears, so I leave easy, hit it, stick it in 2nd and I stay @ 5500+ from there on.

Sounds like your topend got a major boost. When you have everything done could you post an overlay of your old setup vs the new one so everyone can get a good look at what your new setup does in comparison to the old one ?? Nice results bro. I hope you crack the 600 rwhp level with the 100 mm MAF. Best of luck.

03 Busa,
The LS6 heads w/ the prc 2.5 port and valve job were a restriction before + the fast 90 wasn't ported and no UD pulley. I'm sure that caused the old numbers too be a little lower which in turn makes the changes look even greater especially @ the higher RPM's.
****update****
Cut outs open to 100% made zero difference. I guess the extra opening just makes it louder.
Deciding now on whether or not to do the 100mm Maf or just leave it alone @ 570RWHP

On your 427 cube LS2 I am guessing this motor wouldn't handle much spray because of the piston deck having to be so thin right? I am wanting to possibly build either a 427 or 454 but I would lke to be able to spray it and TSP says some of their motors the pistons get to thin for the added temp of spray.

shyhighsami,
I cant speak for your engine but my setup had a 200 shot on it sometime ago and everything was fine but that doesnt mean that yours will????
If TSP built your engine I would listen to what they say. They may have put it together with a total NA application in mind and there can be different parts spec'd , anyway if they built it they should know.......
