I guess if you don't mind the power falling off up top then a smaller runner on a bigger cube motor is the way to go. Now I won't have to worry about getting into the sweet spot of the powerband, the 402 is sweet everywhere ! Thanks.

Thanks a lot man, your car is not too shabby either with the addition of the LG blower cam. How's dads monster running ??
Track, hell I haven't even driven it yet. Car is still at LGM in Wiley, TX I am in Metro Detroit.
A linelock was added so it should be a snap to heat the Nitto DR's 305 35r 18's. I am going to burn them until I see smoke this time. The 346 trapped 123.6 but only et'd 12.02 with a 2.11 60. I have higher expectations for the 402. Just not going to get to geeked, got to remember the 3.42's don't work to great for the 1/4. I'm sure the extra torque will get me to 4th a lot sooner allowing for a higher TRAP speed for sure.

Dads car ran 11.12 @128 1.69 60' The slightly smaller diameter wheels had it bump off the rev limiter slighly (Nittos and different rims). It had a 10.9X in it.

You can hear it hitting in the last video good. That was me driving, because my car was sitting on the side with a broken tranny (as usual).

The graph is up in the other thread, 95mm tb results UPDATE.
Take a close look at the graph and tell me if you think she's falling off up top, or if she did a good job hanging on ?? 2500-6700 400+ rwtq Not too shabby.

That is just an AWESOME result Doug! And all that with fairly off the shelf parts. That's cool
Looking at your graph I think I would still spin her to 7K . . . But I'm a little crazy
Torque might fall off but the power hangs in there decently

SCR assuming deck height is 0, 58cc chambers, .056 gasket, and -12 cc pistons shows 11.1 to 1 according to the SCR calculator I found online. I am not 100% sure of the gasket thickness, or the deck height. Either way that's a good ballpark number. Wasn't able to do the DCR for ya .... I need rod length and degrees after or btdc or something. At any rate she's a beast.

Anubis, heres the situation. Ron at Vengeance ported the FAST 92 and opened the inlet up to 95mm so it would match the Rev Xtreme 95mm tb. There was a problem with the 95mm tb, I got one of the early models that wasn't modded. It was sent back to Tracy at Rev and he modded it and returned it to LGM. Before all that happened, Louis at LGM put an ls2 90 tb on to get me some numbers. That way we knew / anticipated that when the 95 came back and the tune was tweak she should make more power, and she did !!
I wish I had an answer for ya bro. I haven't driven it yet. I am in Metro Detroit, MI and the car is at LGM in Wylie, TX 20 mins NE of Dallas.

That is, if your 90mm TB on that 95mm inlet intake wasnt producing less power than the original 90mm TB & inlet would have because of mismatched sizes.
Good data and all around nice engine either way!

Absolutely. I would suggest anyone going with 383 and up to open up the inlet on your fast 92 to 95 mm's and match a Rev Xtreme 95mm tb to it. If you got 440 ci's and up I'd say you should look into the Ported 92mm fast with a 100 mm inlet, paper gasket, and 100 mm tb. You can get the intake from Ron at Vengeance, and the TB from Tracy at RevXtreme
To the bigger motor guys, that is unless you've already went sheetmetal, but a 100 mm inlet ported 92mm fast could be just what you need if you don't have the cash for the SHEET METAL.

Everyone should think twice before going with brand new larger heads. Sometimes the heads you have are perfect already. These heads weren't even opened up to take advantage of the 4 inch bore.
