Update Allngn_c5's 402 with REV Xtreme 95mm tb RESULTS
edit graph on page 2
Let me take a second and thank Tracy over at Rev Xtreme for performing the necessary modification on my billet 95mm tb to make it work correctly. Also want to thank Louis Gigliotti for taking a good amount of time out of his already overworked day for swapping tb's, tweaking the tune, and slapping her on the dyno !!! Thanks Louis, the results were definately worth waiting for.
Initial numbers before any tuning were around 507 rwhp 496 rwtq with the ls2 90mm tb. After tweaking the tune a little she made 511 rwhp 500 rwtq, and this is still with the ls2 90mm tb. Now these last numbers are with the REV Xtreme billet 95mm tb. 517.3 rwhp / 513.8 rwtq !! Thats a gain of 6.3 rwhp and 13.8 rwtq !! Not too shabby. Makes me wonder what would've happened had I took Ron's (Vengeance Racing) advice and went ahead and let him open the intakes inlet up to 100 mm and match it to the Rev Xtreme 100 mm tb? Oh well, not going to go there, but for ***** and giggles I'd bet 520/515. Either way I am happy.
Bobby said he will scan the graph and post it up tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone at LG Motorsports (Louis, Bobby, Anthony, Sean, Mikey)
Thanks to Ron at Vengeance Racing for doing a great job on the intake.
Thanks to Tracy at Rev Xtreme for modding the tb, and getting it back to LGM for the swap. Sorry it took so long to get some results to ya, but the shop has been VERY BUSY. Thanks again Louis.

Holy torque lol. Wow that's a nice gain. Was it all from the tb or a combo of tb and tuning do you think? Wow your torque and hp are almost the same, thats cool!

Yeah, that torque number is just stupid big. Bet it plants a big fat smile on your face that's impossible to remove.

Thanks Pat !!! Looks like these small runner larger cube motors work. High DCR as Louis stated a while back I believe. Seems that the port velocity of the a/f mixture is so fast (violent) that these motors make a ton of torque but still make a good bit of hp, but falls off up top. A larger runner head would've made more hp and carried it further into the upper rpms, but would've made less torque due to a slower port velocity of the a/f mixture into the cylinder. Larger runner heads also require more rpms to get the velocity up where the small runners make it instantly. Throttle response should be scary. What do you think PAT G ??
DTE stg III with brace, cryo gears, micro polished, hardend left and right output shafts. Not thinking about spraying this motor at all. Its enough as is. The only things left that I could do easily would be Speed density tuning, or a larger MAF and 1 7/8 headers. I am happy as is, but I do wonder what she'd have done if I would've listened to Ron over at Vengeance when he tried to talk me into using one of his 100 mm inlet ported 92 FAST with a 100 mm Rev Xtreme TB ?? No worries, I am very surprised at the torque gain, and happy with the new numbers.

I just wish I would've had enough money in the budget to have gotten Tony Mamo involved. I just couldn't afford the cost to port the heads. I am over budget as we speak, so I gotta hope that Overtime picks up so I can pay this SOB off. LOL. I should be ok.
Louis at LGM (build/tune), Ron at Vengeance (porting the intake), and Tracy at REV Xtreme (modding the 95mm tb) all did a great job in their respective contributions, THANKS guys !!!!
