That is part of your power loss. I had the same set up and then went to true duals with a 3 inch bullet muffler and gained 20 rwhp.

Hey BUSA, I have a very nice ported GMPP intake and a 1500 cfm 4Bl throttle body we can throw on there if you are interested. Thats what im going with on my car. I would like to see how much it would pick this car up over the ported fast. Oh who ported the fast for you? Also what gas is this tuned for? I dont remember seeing it.

Should we try to run it open headers just to see the difference? I do plan on running a higher octane and trying to get more timing into it after I get the valve lash squared away.

Here's a couple pictures of my set up now. I'm a nitrous car and set up. I had a similar exhaust on my other 427 hydrolic motor and it gained 20 on motor and 60 rwhp on the bottle over the exhaust you have. Lost a little torque on motor but that's okay with me.

Let me know if you want to try it. If its raining this weekend I will be free after 2 on Sat. Oh i would try and tune it with some better gas and run the open headers just to see.

Cliff: where did you get those extensions made, they look good.

Before you go doing all of these intake swaps call Nick and get your MAP readings from the logs while he was tuning it.... See just how much of a restriction your intake combo really is. AlignC5 just did a 95mm conversion and picked up 6 or 8rwhp over the 92.... Sometimes the gain up top isnt worth the sacrifice down low when switching to a sheetmetal

Also, Your Y pipe isnt a big helper here.. I would consider true duals OR a set of DMH low profile cutouts to go in your Y pipe

18* does seem low on the timing... No doubt its safe, but Im willing to bet it would pick up a bit with a splash of 103 or even 109 unleaded.

Dont get caught up in the internet pissing wars over dyno #s man.. 560s thru your drivetrain is very respectable. FWIW, that cam is NOT very large for a solid roller with your cubes... We are doing one right now with 280s/290s .830s lift that WILL run on pump gas and be driven on the street.

+ 1,000 Listen to what he has stated. I see persons get way too caught up with numbers. Take it to the track and let it rip!

Thanks Ron, I appreciate the input. I am just going to double check all my work just for piece of mind and I am looking into a true dual setup.

I can get that later tonight. Almost mirror each other in most areas though that was thru the 10 bolt, 16's alum dshaft and single disc it is hard to compare the 2. Really 2 different cars.

Thanks Ron for posting up. Busa03 already has a 95mm inlet and 95mm tb. Maybe he needs 100 mm !!!

I just looked at the graph and it looks like a strong *** 427 !! 450+ rwtq from 3700-6400 rpms. That's not weak at all. Do you think you are losing any port velocity running 245cc heads ?? Maybe 235's would've been a bit better, and produced more low end. Also like Ron pointed out, a little more timing might discover some more power too.
