I picked up 24rwhp on the dyno at G-force with a non-ported fast 92mm , went from 386 to 410 at the wheels on a LS2 vette. Trust me we were all crossing our fingers when we ran the first pull but the intake came thru!!

Results are in:

17rwhp/10rwtq corrected, 45rwhp/30rwtq uncorrectedlol(not to be counted as real numbers!!). Gained only from 4200-6400 but real gains are from 5200 lol. Dropped as fast as my LS6 at 6200. Should have changed the cam instead. Not worth it with my combo. Zero SOTP effect. Drivability seems better. A/F ratio was leaner at 13.5 and was corrected to 12.9-13.

I have the graph with the last dyno comparison; will post it tomorrow..

At least I have the intake for my future stroker. And the nitrous hit hard 560rwtq baby.

I think the results would be better with a larger cam and better heads.

I'm starting to think that my valvetrain is tired after those 3+ years and might have an effect on the hp, but who knows...I'm getting new springs later this summer.

For a "Factory" style intake, and to show that gain is a great thing. Also having a mechaincally correct running motor is equally important as floating valve springs does nothing but hurt you.

Until you move up to an intake that can support some of the flow #'s that GEN3 and GEN4 heads now offer, it is going to be hard to see the true potential. Bearing in mind when going to a sheet metal intake your power band shifts forward and the "SOTP" feel you expect would be less, but then the top end pull will be more prevaleant.

Often speaking with Dyno operators, most people do not notice a difference in power until the increase to the rear wheel is over 15% change. Only the track can be a true measure of the change.

About the valve float, its only me assuming and I'm trying to find a reason why I didnt gained that much thru the powerband like evryone else did with non ported units.

I know I wont feel a huge SOTP with only 17hp, but I know that with a bigger cam I would feel AND put higher numbers from the start to the end of the pull. Anyway, I knew all about this when I bought the intake, i was just hoping for the miracle some plp had with this intake; like a 25-35rwhp gain and a hell of a gain under the curve..

Yep. I added a Walbro 255 and SLP ram air box to mine, had to retune it to match my old numbers. Ran 2.1 mph faster and almost .2 quicker at the track on the same street tires.

I'll try running it at the track wednesday if its open, easying on the throttle off the line because of the 10bolts..I'm hoping for a good mph!!

Good luck, man! I'm sure you'll see a pickup if the DA is comparable, even if it's only a mph!

What were your final SAE numbers and what's the weight of the car? What's the whole setup, for that matter?
