Excellent numbers! That car has to pull like a mother.

How would those heads do on a 383 or 402? I'd love to get a set of heads, but hate the idea of needing to buy new ones down the road if I build a bigger motor.

well i am the owner of the car I would really like to thank the guys at virginia speed for ll the great work they did. I understand that I need a better exhaust and other vital components to make some more power but over all I am happy rite now with my setup. I really need to change my rear end and do so more suspension stuff before i add more hp but really thanks Shawn and all the guys at va speed.

The 215's work great on bigger motors-you sacrifice a little top end but make really good tq

What about the ever popular 3/4 lobes?

Seems to be a trend for the shops that make good power with good drivablity consistantly.

Why should they pass out their knowledge for free so other shops can jump on board?

Yeah, I have no problem with a shop keeping the cam specs secret as long as the guy who paid for the cam gets the info.

Thanks *****. Sometimes people forget we're in business to SELL PARTS.

We could give our cams some really cool name with some kinda goofy suffix and then stack the shelves with 50 of each version, and then sell one of the 4 or 5 versions to every Joe that called, but we choose not to. For the most part, each one is a little different. I personally have 3 or 4 that work really well in cam only, or certain combos (Shawn has his favorites too), but for the most part every one of them is different.

Why build custom engines and then throw in a Generic X2.V3/Z7?

hmm...well i swapped cams to something similar to the duration you mentioned....not sure if you run comp lobes or another grind
mine is a 235 243 LSL 111+3....hope mine carries power like this grind of yours...have yet to dyno it but hope for 480's rwhp and 420's rwtq (one thing against me on dyno is my new 390 diff...dynoed on the stock 342 diff before)
I did 469rwhp and 417rwtq with 1 3/4 headers and a XER 236 238 113+2
now got a 1 7/8in ARH headers and the new cam...hope i pick up a few
btw 61cc TFS 215s here
also went 127.4 in the 1/4 here in NC on my second pass with the 236 238 cam (then i broke terribly)...dynoed at 2 diff DJ 224s sooo numbers add up looking at MPH and the 2 dynos to prove no fluke
garage built selt tuned
