402 with TFS 235's
I'm impressed...
You made the right match combination with the parts...
You should be named Dr. +500 Hp
Congt.
The cam is costum grind as posed in early...
is it possible of having more details of the cam specification...
I'm confident you will do high 9's sec with new gear and slicks...
keep us posted...
I hope this thread is classified as sticky since it is a big millstone for the 402ci...
I am truly impressed. I too went back to track. I hurt my clutch, started slipping bad after the 9th run in 4 hours.
I went 7.6xx @ nearly 96 mph with a personal best 1.9xx 60 ft time on Nitto Drs (555's) 305 35r18. They seem to hook best at 24 psi. Those zo6 gears and super sticky tires are making you a real track monster. I bet you were surprising quite a few people !!
Again very impressed, and thanks for the update.
I posted my numbers to show what the driver mod, gearing, and a killer 60 would do for my car. I'd probably see 7 flat in the 1/8 at 101 mph with Zach driving my car. Sorry for the hijack.
I went from an 11.89 @ 121 w/a 2.0 60' on Nitto's to a 11.26 @ 123 w/a 1.64 60' only difference was I went with a 3.73 gear over a 3.42, added a TA and some very used MT ET streets.
This was at California Speedway which is known to have shitty 60's and MPH. The next week I was able to lower my 60' to a 1.59 at a better prepped 1/8 mile track. I got 3 runs...2 at 7.15 and 1 at 7.16 all at 98 mph. I'm hoping to hit 10's when I get 4.10's, new tires, remove my catt's and go to a better track.
With a tire and some good driving your car has 10's in it for sure, even at a shitty track
I used to run 2004 Z06 whith mn12 and 3.42, i swapped all items to convertible body, but kept the vert tranny mn6.
and took better time. 11.42@121 1.67 60ft 1/8 7.33@96.8
but on the Z (less wheight) 11.52@122 60ft 1.67 1/8 7.4@97.3
I thinks it´s the better gearing in MN6 longer 1st, i was lunching at 4500-5000rpms both cars
the vert is a little bit heavyer... so..
So i think mn6 is better for 402 N/a setup...
the plan is getting 3.90 gears.
after i change fast

I just suffered a broken tranny output shaft that torpedoed the rear end when it broke. One of the times when 2 birds with one stone is not a good thing. That was back in October, and then once it was fixed I ran into a broken rocker issue. Oh well its fixed now, just in time to put the car up for the year.
I'm sure you know when you make that power, things tend to break. Especially if you are getting on it. Was the tranny stock ?

Failure was from tons of abuse on the dragstrip, etc. It had been built a few years back and was just completely worn out. I ended up finding a gear between 3rd and 5th on the track and it got stuck there, so we tore it apart and are getting it back to new.

WWWAAAAAOOOOO

614rwhp & almost 500rwtq from 388ci
that is thy insane
is it street drive or pure drag racing...
Is it simple to handle this wild power when it push the throttle or no?
Can we hear about the combination if possible...
Honest, Congratulation...
Is Your 388ci posted in a LS1tech thread? If yes, then can you please show the link
Thanks
Don't want to hijack the thread either.
Here is a link to the video.

You can see how docile the car is for it's et and the quality of the idle.
It is perfectly streetable. We have the idle @ 650rpms right now.
We run 100 octane for the drag strip.
The setup was just put together a few months ago.
After it is all dialed in I believe it will dyno ~700rwhp dynojet.

Any new in breaking the 600 rwhp boundary!!!!
