it's a low 240's cam on a 113-not that duration really means anything as far as sound or driveability.
i never said i didn't know what the heads flow-i just have no idea who ported them. The cam was optimized for the whole combination-just like every other setup we do,I do not use the same cam for anything-every combination is different and needs a different cam.
everybody gets pissed off when we don't give away the whole combination, the whole point of the thread was that you can make a decent running engine on a budget with parts that most people say won't make power.

People are idiots who expect you guys to give out all that you know. Go ask Intel the manufacturing inovations they currently use... Do not tell them, I love to hear these guys whine. Great work.

I hear ya on not giving away the farm. This thread is a good advertisement for VA Speed though. It really shows that they can make a ton of power even with a budget setup. Again Good job.

Competition is the only reason I can think of for being secretive. You don't want to invest time in something that works and just give the formula away for free so anyone else can just take your work and copy it 100%, gotta leave a little something to the imagination. If I was a shop owner I'd probably do what VA Speed did too. Simply advertise the results and hope that it encourages potential customers to call and / or come to the shop and spend some money. JMO.

Nice, IMO the heads are good ones, the VJ massage must have been a plus, add good overlap and valve events and you have a good recipe.
From experience the most crutial component in engine combo are the heads then the cam.
Also let us give credit to the tuner, like a master Chef adding the right spices

i understand where you are coming from but for $25 i can have it cam doctored and your secret cam specs run is over...so you sold one cam and made how much margin...also i could resell the cam for 90%+ of what i bought it for...

why would they get it ground somewhere else? is it cheaper other places? do you guys not stay competitive with other shops prices?

if you were a shop would you not charge more to custom spec a cam that works extremely well and then grind it than if you were to just grind a cam on someone else's specs? imho you are paying also for the time, research, and thought that the cam designer has put into your combo personally and developed a cam to optimize that setup.
