Yeah the tall deck LSX will make 511 ci. But with a bigger stroke, RPM becomes more problematic. Not to say 10,000 rpm isn't possible with the stroke at 4.5", just more of a variable for problems.

Thumbs up

Damn very impressive! Congrats on the 1000 mark in an LSx platform to Linda and Judson and all the students and staff of SAM there making this possible.

I think mid 8s are not far away if the track and the weather are nice to you guys at the shootout!

It will set you back quite a bit. Custom pistons, aluminum rods, custom camshaft, shaft mounted rocker arms, cylinder head work, custom sheet metal manifold.... it starts adding up real quickly

Killer results for sure. Ditch that Q16 and you'll probably be better off, good luck at the shootout, can't wait to hear how it goes!

They ran 8.82 @ 157 so far at the shootout in like their first pass so they may get into the mid 8's if they can really make it hook but they are at almost the heaviest weight there.

Hopefully they will run the car at a lower weight like 3100 after the shootout at the event for an exhibition pass or two if they can.

I am stuck here in Houston but a student told me they ran at least an 8.65 or so later so they are even faster now.

At 3500 pounds that is unbelievable performance!

I know Judson and the guys at SAM are proud as no one has gone this fast and no one at anywhere near this weight!
