With the economy like it is I know a lot of people didn't go this time as well RayZ06 but I sure hope they don't kill this class. I know of 2 guys in the all motor class that just couldn't go this time. All motor requires real knowledge so it's going to seperate the field a little more at a small event for sure but there are several 8 second cars out there as well that just couldn't make it at this event. Jud's and SAM's car is very fast though and they would be hard to beat by anyone right now especially if they weren't having to haul so much weight.

Here is a video of it at the LSX Shootout. http://samracingtv.com/video/10855

Cam specs are around 300° duration @ .050 with just under an inch of valve lift.

I know this post was made back in 09 but here we are only in the beginning of 2011 and CU Z06 has gone low 8.30's in his all motor c5r block camaro. With addition of him in all motor it will be exciting to see what SAM has up their sleeve.

The rules may slow down that car slightly. I would guess removing the forward facing hood scoop will hurt et somewhat.

I don't know about the forward facing scoop but he has a weight penalty for having a four link (100lbs) He posted in his thread in the drag racing results that he teamed up with Lynch and Petty and they are going to play with the clutch, change front shocks, and play with the tune for individual cylinder tuning. So I think that 100 lbs isn't going to make much difference if they are doing all that to the car.

The rules are tight in the class and getting a top mounted tb to work with a small cowl hood is not easy. The forward facing scoop may be good for .2 alone. It should be a fun event.

i just got my motor in the car and will be making a trip to madman to get some rear suspsion worked on. should be a fun trip. i have to be 3100 and with all the weight out of the car ill be right at 3140race weight. at that weight im looking for some 8.20's N/A.

just a quick run down of the setup is 468ci, mozez canted valve heads, 15.5:1 compression, beck sheetmetal with 2 dominator tb's, 60mm roller bearings, 5 stage dry sump system, jesel key way lifters, 9/16 pushrods, and a jesel shaft system with a 7000 stall converter,

i will have some results dyno results later this week.
