you're right
an abitrary number assigned to the perameters of that particular machine.
maybe thats the same dyno that guys with bolt ons and a 224 cam only put down 425rwhp
while the rest of the world seems to get 370-380rwhp.
funny huh?
my guess is your friends "370rwhp" car would run on par with a 320rwhp car at the track every night of the week.
again...funny huh?

Like I said this car stock with nothing more than a cutout trapped 109mph (and it had a K&N filter in the stock airbox), so with the lid + LS6 intake + tuning I can see the numbers. I was surprised, for sure, as I was only hoping for 325 after tuning. I'll be really interested to get it back to the track to see what it traps. I'm hoping for 111 in comparable air. The car isn't at all set up for drag strip ETs though so I'm only interested in the trap speed. I was having to give it every bit of what it had to get a 2.06 60' out of it the last time on the 19" street tires.

Nice numbers either way...
But what is up with these graphs having crazy out of standard scaling...If you look closely at the end part of the pull, there might be a little spike...With regular scaling it would be very noticable, but when the HP scale is so stretched its hard to see...Just a thought...

Funny story, there was a '97 Cobra there with full bolt ons including headers and everything. It put down 268rwhp. On my last pull my MAF started to take a dump and my car was reading 4* of knock and pulling a whopping 13 degrees of timing, and my car still put down more power than the 4.6L Cobra.

I always dyno my car in December in upper Canada for the inflated numbers come on guys who really uses SAE numbers...
take the car to the track and record da conditions...dynos are only useful for tuning and back to back comparision...

yea dont get your hopes up about a factory freak.... im very skeptical about dyno numbers.... track times talk
my car put down 345hp 351tq with a lid, ls6, and full exhaust. heavy 17x11 with 315 sumitomos on the back.
i think this is around what these cars do if the plugs are fresh and they breathe well even on a stock tune.
