Default Lets see some All Bore and Super Strokers dyno #'s!

I need some motivation here. I am going big, but people rarely post the BIG #'s.. I would like to see thoses graphs or hear those #'s. Please let us know whether you dyno'd on a Mustang Dyno or Dyno Jet.. Compression and what octane fuel would be nice as well..

Well here ya go, I guess Ill be the first. This is an alum block 427 built by JPR. CR is right around 10.8 11.0 . It was done on a Dyno jet and I will run 93 octane. I am very happy with the results. This is an A4 with 12 bolt and 4:11's. Good Luck on your build up. Bear

Here is my 346 graph first.

Hey Vince, don't have a scanner to scan the dyno sheet in, but it 511rwhp @ 6200 and 478 rwtq @ 5800 rpms, CR was 12:1, gas was a mixture of Ca 91 octane and 103 octane.

Linear Velocity, those numbers look funny.

478 rwtq @ 5800 rpm = 528 hp

Misprint or something?

Some very impressive #'s.. Bear you look like you have more in it.. That's a little rich NA. I wonder how it would do around 13 flat A/F.. Linear that is one strong 388ci All Bore.. Not many 427ci's dyno those #'s. It would be good to see a overlay of your dyno compared to a 400ci plus setup.. I would like to see the under the curve..

I have a Cartek built 422 stroker that makes 504 rwhp and 491 rwtq in a C5 with 4.10's and an A4. Runs on 93 octane, and has gone a best of 10.82 @ 127mph. w/1.48 60' time @ 3550 lbs. Motor is for sale, if interested IM me!

I don't really know where you're getting that calculation from but I'm Not sure, I'm at work I'll have to go home and get the exact peak numbers.

Very impressive.. You made 400rwhp at 4300rpm on the new setup and it took your 346ci 5600rpm to make the same horsepower. It looks like you past your peak horsepower on your old setup by 4400rpm on your new setup. That is awesome..

Ive got to get a clutch that can hold the power in it before I can dyno :-/ So Im afraid I cant say I have a clue. Feels miiiggghhhty strong up top though I have an all-bore MTI 387 with stage 3 LS6s and an MTI X1 (sort of small cam for the motor size).
A local place has 3 pulls for 25$ on Monday, and its a really nice place. The weather doesnt look great though, so Im not sure I want to pull the car out. :-/ But for 25$, I may just hope the clutch doesnt slip and try it out.

I was scared to go with a resleeved motor. There are a lot of horror stories that you don't even hear about. I know of a couple personally built by various shops. Tom the Roofer talked me out of a Big Bore. I went 383 Stroker and am very glad I did... Here is my dyno chart and I have an A4 with a TCI4400 converter and Moser 12 Bolt... This was with a cutout after the Y pipe. I think there are a few more ponies in her. JFM gained almost 15 more hp by dropping the Y pipe. This is a FLP exhaust setup.

I would say that was good advice. Long story short...you may find some people running resleeves with great success, but if you dig deep enough you'll probably find double that with the same sleeve system having any number of issues. They just don't get advertised heavily.

For the record, my last sleeved motor never made it to the track. After a tuning session some changes were noted in the oil. the motor was pulled out, and for now its sidelined. I have a 408 iron block in the car right now.

Too bad too.. that motor made some unreal power.

torque X RPM / 5252 = HP
478 X 5800 / 5252 = 527.875xxxxxxxxx
hp is just a calculation of torque, thats why they always cross at 5252 rpm
dyno's measure torque not hp
