Default 400 rwhp with 806's and cam

Picked up my 98 Z28 a year ago in Houston, last tune done 2 years ago and has seen very few miles since. I am in the process of swapping out the LS1 intake for an LS6. Admittedly I don't have a mod history on the car but it obviously has a cam and it is evident while having the intake off, some head porting has been done. The last tune and dyno were done at the former MTI.

Dynoed 402 rwhp and 378 rwtq with:

M6, 12 bolt 3.73
ported 806's
cam ?? i am guessing high 220's on a 112 but just a guess by numbers and sound
LS1 intake, stock tb
MTI lid, descreened stock MAF
Mac mids and catted Y
Borla catback
17x11 TT2

I am hoping for a nice response from the intake swap and ported tb and will also throw on an udp this spring. Drives me nuts not knowing more about the engine but it was affordable and is fun to drive while I save for something bigger...it does have a wet kit but I kept the bottle empty last summer but am super tempted when I have it retuned to give it a small shot.

At this point, don't have the luxury of back to back pulls but what do you think the intake swap and ported tb will yield?

Cheers

tried to post the scanned graph but file too big...scanner saves it as a pdf..poster child for computer illiteracy

Those are really good numbers for having an LS1 intake, stock TB, and stock pulley! If that car is really cam only then you have a strong runner for sure.

As for gains, my buddy went from 390rwhp to 412rwhp weith the same mods.

Heads have the perimeter bolt valve covers so I am assuming they are 806. When looking into the intake ports it is obvious some porting has been done. Did MTI have a history of having a "happy" dyno? The dyno charts did not have the afr so don't know how aggressive the tune is. Another question, did MTI use LS1edit to the end and I wonder if it is locked. The local shop uses efi live, once the snow is gone, time will tell.

Why the dip in my tq curve just after 3K?

MTI's Dyno has been very accurate throughout the years. The same Dyno is now at ICON Autosports in Staffard.

Yes, MTI has used LS1edit the entire time. My car was completely tuned with LS1edit at ICON.

And no, the PCM is not locked..

Something looks really messed up with your graph. The curve does not look right at all, also these are uncorrected numbers so they don't really mean much.

Well, finally strapped the car down. The only mod a have done is the ls6 intake. The old graph I had was done on a dynojet and uncorrected so I respect it for what it is. The car put down a corrected 385 on a superflow, torque was around 360 and nice and flat. The main reason for the pulls were to check afr...12.3-12.6 up to 5900 and then went to 11.5 up to where we stopped, 6500. The shop had the worst printer quality but I will try to post up the graph.

If that's the case then you've got another 10-15rwhp just in A/F tuning. That's pig rich up top.
