Damn that sucks. You seem to have my kind of bad luck. Don't get yourself down too much. You'll forget about it once you make that first pass down the track.
I like the look of the car with the new wheels. Did they require a lot of grinding to the brakes to get them to fit?

Thanks a lot guys, I'm not letting this car get my down trust me, I'll kick it's ***! Rain predicted this friday
These wheels are designed to fit stock brakes, no griding required (they say). They spun free when I installed them but you could hear one side scrapping just a little bit in one spot so I lightly knocked off maybe .010" on the high spot of the calipers.

No spacers, these wheels are designed to fit stock f-bodys. I can get you the info to the guy I bought them from, I'm not sure if he's a vendor here yet. Well since I'm all about doing the most while spending the least this is why I bought these wheels. They are the cheapest set of wheels you can buy yet they look and fit great.
M&H Cheater Slick 26x11.5-15 18.8 lbs. 35.5 lbs with 15 x 10 racestar wheel. The wheel weighs 16.6 lbs with center cap.

Well I finally was able to get some decent runs in. This is copied from another thread. After all the frustration and work it's hard to describe how good it is to finally run 11's and dump the clutch at 6800 rpm. I've wanted to be able to do this reliably since I bought the car ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Well I got to make a few more passes and the LS7 clutch only sticks to the floor after my run.
3090 Density Altitude (2200' elevation)
3700 + raceweight
Going through dual dual exhaust
6800 RPM Clutch Drop
60': 1.646
330: 4.899
1/8: 7.580
MPH: 92.37
1/4: 11.820 *** Finally!! ***
MPH: 116.79
Time to open cutout and add a little fuel
60': 1.767
330: 4.969
1/8: 7.616
MPH: 93.54
1/4: 11.797
MPH: 118.23
Track was going away at the end of the night. I think it has 11.6x in it with the cutout open and cutting a 1.6 60'. I couldn't believe it bogged the motor down to 4000 rpm on my 6800 rpm drop! These M&H tires hook like a **** for being a slp lowered stock suspension car.

You have an auto and you would never run those times at our track. My car ran 13.3 @ 107 mph making 340 rwhp at our track with bolt ons. So I gained a ton, its all in comparison. With the 1.64 60' I cut earlier and the mph I ran with the exhaust open it would have been easy 11.6's. If I ran at a Sea Level track here is what drag times says
Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
11.359 @ 122.884 MPH
Extensively Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
11.488 @ 121.492 MPH
Now remember this is bone stock slp uplevel 2 suspension (lowered 1") from the factory with 122,000 miles on it. My car is not transfering weight at all and the suspension is not allowing it to move forward. Our track is a NHRA track and if I run faster than 11.49 they will give me the boot for no cage anyways. This isn't like my best pass after hundreds of runs, I've only made 6 total runs now with the rear and slicks. I also imagine I'm only making about 415 rwhp with this rear, I have 140 weight gear syrup in it and a 21lb driveshaft.

I'm dropped 1.25" on BMR's with -3 pinion angle. It seems to hook up pretty good like that. I thought the 9" lost more too but in the Rear section is data showing only 5 RWHP loss from the 9". I ran the 11.79 with the 9" in place so you probably still have 430 ish HP on tap. Sticks are + 20 HP at least on dynos.

3 dyno pulls cost $85. If 7 people on this board want to see a direct comparison from 10 bolt with 3.42s to a 9" with 4.11's I will gladly accept donations of roughly ($10 or so x 7 = $70 and I will come up with the rest). Either way it does not matter at all and I'm really happy with the way it's running. Does it not seem odd you ran 11.79 @ 114 with bolt ons yet only gained 5 mph with heads / cam / fast? I gained 100 rwhp on the dyno and gained 10 mph at the track. It's all about combo. Keep in mind I'm also running a LS7 clutch wich has been shown to rob about 10 rwhp on the dyno.

Not really. I'm running a cam designed for 1.85 rockers with stockers so my lift is .530". That's crap for lift! I had a very strong bolt-on car real close to making the top list if it weren't for weight so gains are about on par for what's there over the stock setup. I get the RapTr in there and I bet it wakes up a bunch. I have a leaking head gasket that may have cost me some too so don't know. I'm always more concerned with ET than the MPH though.... wins races!

I ain't scurred
I know the GTO deal, my buddies 04 M6 GTO with trex and a d1sc just broke. Turns out he broke an axle stub, but he has 5 more and already fixed it. He beat the hell out of that GTO, ran 10.9's last year on nitrous and he runs et streets bias ply. I'm not sure why the mods havent updated me to the "11 second club", guess they are slacking.
