It ran 6.32 in the 1/8, every pass was 109-110 mph, that should be good for 9's easy. You might have seen the 6.42 dial in?

The older timeslip was my car in 03' with N2O when it ran 6.319 in the 1/8 and went 9.87 in the 1/4 mile.

No problem, I drove up to IMIS on Friday, but I'm not going to make it to PRI, you'll have to season the AFR booth without me this year

The RPM Transmissions 4L60E is doing great, we thought we had a tranny problem, but it was a PCM problem, so I repinned the PCM harness and upgraded the 97' computer to the 99' and newer style.

Still running the Yank SS4000, but it's WAY too loose, I'm going to get Yank to tighten it up over the winter.

Great thread.
Mamo's 454 did better than this with a 251/255 cam.
it made 731hp at first and then then there were some engine issues. When they were fixed and the engine was put back on the engine dyno it made 713hp.
It just shows how closely matched the AFR and trickflow heads are.
Which one is better is too close to call.
I have to say AFR!

No, it made a dyno number which doesnt really mean anything. If it ran the same mph corrected to the Density Altitude and weight THEN you can make a comparison.

That's true.
But only going by numbers here.
Actual performance is what really matters.

It would be nice to see these kind of builds again.
This was purpose built for a good street motor with it not being too radical.
I wonder how this 454 would do with more cam timing and a super victor intake.
Same thing with Mamo's old 454 build.
