No worries buddy, I've also got an unbeatable LS1. Let me know when you make it down to Texas.

Should be a drivers race between the SS and 11 gt.
i remember that thread. i remember also saying that low 12's high 11's will be common with such minimal mods!

I ran a GT500 at the strip the other night. He ran a 12.76@115. 2.0 60ft.
So their supercharged car runs the same as the new N/A one?

BOOM..it doesnt surprise me; every bolton LS1 is killing stock 10 SS, why it would not happen against a 11 GT that is a drivers race with a 10 SS...

The new 5.0l is long awaited weapon for the Ford guys. I'm happy for them and I cant wait to race a modified 5.0l!!

Those stock 4v heads flow more than most aftermarket LSx heads. That helps alot but apparently not enough.

If it is true, then I think it will be good for everyone.... everytime someone pushes the envelope and gets better, then everyone else comes to the table and matches or exceeds. Competition is good and finally it is from Ford......

the tires have a lot to do with it. The GT500 does not have enough tire under it to do it any justice.i believe Even the weaker 2007 GT500 has seen 12.2's @ 117 (while the 2010 has seen 11's @120mph) bone stock so they are capable with an awesome driver but the small stock tires dont do much to help rein in all that torque.Still, The MPH advantage shows the difference in power.

Even the "optional tires on the Mustang GT are really small, 255's i believe. Not sure exactly what Ford is thinking.

Evan Smith went 11.9s stock in a 2010 GT500.

It went 11.50s with a tire.

another thing to consider is they have a real weird transmission in this thing. 4th gear is 1.3:1 instead of 1:1, which means the 3.73's really arnt 3.73's, and with he stock tune, they were on the limiter in 4th about 30' out from the 1320 so they coasted across the line. with the limiter off and thats it, i bet it'd do more like 113-114
