"Could" I drive this cam on the street with pump gas acceptable compression and have it be reliable?

This sounds like a sweet setup and a breakthrough in the big bore segment.

I think this is more of a PACKAGE/SETUP than a cam making the big #. That same camshaft in an 11:1 street motor would proably be down quite a bit on power. I dont think this setup would be at home anywhere other than the track... FWIW, I have heard the car idle. Allan has his tuning down. She fired right up and caught an idle almost instantly. Didnt last long though, Allan had to turn the car off pretty quick before the rest of his inventory fell off the shelves

Thanks for all the comments Always willing to push new boundries.

OK OK, I have clearance to release cam specs: 274/278 .785"/.776" 108 l\s. It idles REALLY nasty and LOUD not intended for street driving! I will have some video of idle and a dyno pull this week for everybody.

So far it has a simple fuel system:255 intank w\stock regulator, stock fuel lines and rails(will see how far that gets ) Will be upgrading to either 75lb or 96lb injectors with the intake swap to keep the duty cycle safe. The uncorrected rwhp was 648,this should be close to 710-720 flywheel HP. Once I get all the tuning done,I will be taking it to the track for some more testing.

Larry,Iam going to use the LT1 58mm T\B off my car for starters and try a 1300cfm monoblade to see if that helps. Curious to see the gains of the intake! Any progress with your car? can't wait to see it run.

It is a RACE car only now,but not gutted-should be around 3450lbs.

I never did log the MAP sensor,I was more worried about the duty cycle and wideband feedback. I will log it on the next run before the intake goes on.

The intake has slight match porting at the head flange only.

No,it is intended for race only. RADICAL idle(no vacuum) and dosen't clean up till around 3500 RPM.

Awesome Allan, I'll say a prayer for that T56. Tell Gordon to get his damn internet fixed
YOU couldn't handle it-jk.Not sure how long the T56 will be in there. Iam sure it will have an auto soon due to shifting arm elbow giving him alot of pain...

I may swap to an auto soon as well. The only way I can shift right now is to leave my foot in the gas since I broke the ankle. I am out of the cast and walking on it but when I run the car hard and hammer the gas and lift to shift I get reminded of why I should not be lifting on the gas

I am posting this for old Gordon(GTS-SS),some of you may remember him
Who? Can't say that I do remember him. I do however remember a guy in this area that had a white SS, but it was SLOW. I think he lived in the 'Ville though. He actually used to hang around with us quite a bit back then. Maybe he moved to another state cause I haven't heard from him in like a year or so.
Is this the same guy Allan?

Im curious about that as well. With the FAST system installed the 7400rpm limits are gone. What are you planning on spinning it to Allan?

Yeah, first he puts out a 500+ RWHP 347ci motor on his "new dyno"...

Then he puts out a 600+ RWHP motor on his "new dyno"...

You just have to wonder what's going on at Futral Motorsports...

Bah. 450? Been there, done that. Now stick a real man's cam in your motor, instead of that little thing that has a few dimples on it
