I think the only think about the cam that I can think of that is bad is anything under 1500 rpms start to buck when driving.

Mine dosnt do that?

Some people have been asking me about low rpm cursing and what rpms are with the gears. And I've never remebed to check on that stuff. I took a vid weds on the way home form the track to check that stuff for sure. Drove around town in 5th and 6th under 1500 and it crusies fine. Put it in 6th at like 35 and tried to drive at 900 rpms, just to see what it would do. LOL Car didnt really buck or surge, but was killing the clutch the car dosn't like it all.
Theres some long hills in geneso too, some lights the car rolls backward was hard to film with one hand, and shift, and turn. Left it in 2nd one time had the camra in the right had, I'll check out how they came out. What gears do you have agian? My car is lighter, and has some more gear, But I run 28s all the time to the 4:30s are like 3:73s on stock wheels. Its runs really good, the Trex ran a lot worst for low rpm cruiseing. I think I have a vid of that too, I didnt like it.

Checked out the vids I took. One is 5mins long not sure if that will fit on youtube. other is 20secs? just 2 starts and crusies 1300rpms, and 8-900 in 6th at 45. Uploading the short one now. But My idle is set the same as always like 850-950? I had set turned down when fattmatt had his, and sounded really good at 800? lol But didnt find idle that nice, like it dose now. Like clutch in after a 6000+ burnout at the track, that was too low to have it, for no problems. I think you should have the IAC fixed up (ported?) in the TB, Mike knows somthing about he didnt like how that TB was.

not that great of a vid. the camra is rattling on the sterring wheel. I dont have the back carpet, and truck carpet in. Just bought a section of grafite to replace the light grey I had last year, all I could find then. So the gears are louder, there no engine suging or anything but some gear wine. I also get no clutch chatter with the ramHD.That noise at the, the rear end ( loose back lash) ryithmic wines when light to no load on the gears. You can set the gears up dead nuts, on spec and have them quite at 1st. But launch a 6speed car at 6000+ a few (hundred ) times they lossen up and wine. Sounds louder in the vid, If I get some new 4:56s I'll re set them up after some track passes and see if they can stay quite, if you can do that? I dont know if it works that way? haha It was my 1st gears/spool install lol.

I drilled it out and made the inlet bigger, like mike said, works better so far.I also cut the gasket that was blocking the iac port from the tb to the intake. It was idling down to around 500 when I would try to drive slow and then let off.

oh ya, the BBK gasket has like a .375 hole, I remeber noticeing that to myself, it looked smaller then the passway hole. I think I sold you the BBK intake with the BBK gasket I never used right? And I used the other 85mm gasket I had with my fast85/85 I made. That one had a slot that I ran with that intake and the PP 85mm TB I had I ran on the BBK intake. Ya, check the hole in the gaket out, and even how the 85mm hole is with it bolted to the TB. Some times the TB bore size hole are smaller, orthe holes for the bolts are alot bigger. And the gsket will sag down and make a lip. I take a new razor plade, open the TB up and cut the gaket perfect with the TB bolted on when I make gaskets.

The IAC port on the tb lines up with a hole that is in the TB. The gasket did not have a hole cut for that, I hope that was my problem.

I talked with Mike at New Era, the bucking is because of my stock gearing. Guess its time for some 410's.

With the 3.42 and street tires it ran

12.89 at 113 with a 2.2 60'. It needs gears pretty bad. I am saving for a 12 bolt with 430's and slicks. Should do alot better. check out my vids. I am going to the track in a couple weeks again and am going to try to not go in the water and hopefully stay later when its cooler. DA was 2400.

I believe 6800 rpm. I need a shift light to keep it consistent. I was shifting around 6500.
