Do you think it will break into the 11's?
Just got it dyno tuned yesterday. 398rwhp, 380ft/lbs. I'm at a little disadvantage because its a convertible so I have a little extra weight. High 11's was my goal. All the horsepower to 1/4 mile calculaters I've found on the web tell me 12.1 to 12.2. They don't take into account tires, gears and stall though. What do you guys think?

I would say that's pretty close.Prob 12.0 My full bolt on full exhaust 02 formula wit fti 3600 and a trans go shift kit and stock gears went 12.3 at 109mph without even launching the car hard and on bald mickeys.Good luck and let us know.

My 3rd gen had 370rwhp and ran a 12.09/113.11 with 3200+ density altitude. With better air it would have been in the 11's. Race weight 3680 pounds. This car has a 4L60E with a Yank torque converter. So yes you should be able to get a high 11.

Well, I finally got to take it out on the street and I am very happy. It will light up my MT 305/35's drag radials with no problem. Even from a dig. I'm going to have to drop the air pressure some more I'm at 24.5 psi right now. Think I'm going to try 16 psi. It rev's very fast. I'm betting 11.8's. Can't take it to the track though because I don't have a roll bar. I'm going to use my buddies gtech.

You don't need a roll bar to run high 11's man. Take it to the track and she what she can do. The only thing they can do is kick you off if you run faster than a 11.499 or 120mph for not having a roll bar. **** man the track we have around here I run in the 10's with no roll bar and half the time they just tell me to keep my mph down. LOL That's why I still run in the street class instead of superpro non eletronics class.
oh and you should be in the mid to high 11's no problem man..

My guess is 11.6 with good traction. Autos are not dyno friendly but your numbers are very good nontheless. Of course track conditions, elevation, and weather have to be taken into account

I was wondering why my car would do for a while and finally went to the track to find out. It was my first time ever at a racetrack and it was like being a kid again. Go out and have some fun and in the process you'll prob meet some good people along the way.
I don't know why, but getting a street car aka "grocery getter" into the 11's is just plain cool. When I got my 11sec timeslip it was a rush! Can't wait to go back and rerun with the shift points setup right. I'm hoping for 11.5's.

Don't go to Lapeer if thats what your thinking that place is a shithole and you wouln't run 11s there as the prep is non exsistant. Get to a nice track and they should be fine with you running that fast. If they ask you to slow down you can do 1/8 mile for a few passes and get that 60' just right, then make a full 1/4 pass and leave and you'll be fine and going home with an 11 second slip
