Default EPS Cammed Z06

I have been a follower on this web site for a long time but i never tooked the time to join. Now i see that i can log on threw face book so i thought i would share a few videos of my car.I have had this cam in my car for about 7 months and it is great. Car is an 2003 EB Z06. Engine Specs are Custom Grind EPS Cam 222/234 596/601 on a 115lsa+3, 1 7/8 Kooks Long Tube Headers,Stock Titanium Mufflers DHM Low Profile Cut Outs, Vararam Cold Air Intake with Power Duct, Unported Fast 92/90, Slp UnderDrive Pulley. Car Made 440hp 400 torque. Best time so far is 11.67 at 120 with a ok 60 foot. 1.811. Both videos are with the cut outs opened after the cats. With them closed you can barely hear that is a cam in the car. Enjoy.

I'm going with two thumbs up. 1) car 2) dyno and cam results.
I've been thinking about a monster sized 115+2 or 3 lobe lately myself as a test. You are the first piece of I data I've seen with a 115+3 and a few mods.
Great work.

Thanks. Yea i love the cam. Its a baby cam by todays standards. When i told the shop the numbers i KNEW the car would make before the dyno they told me not to get my hopes up that high lol. But after the first pull before the tune they all was scratching there heads and asking me what were the specs of the cam again and who grind was it. Special Thanks to Kacy At RPM for putting it all together for me. Geoff at EPS for grinding this awsome cam for me and thanks to Nick for the great tune and every one else at NEW TECH.

I would have thought it would MPH better than 120, I have an 03 z06 with a vararam CAI and Texas-speed long tubes and it went 11.80 @ 120 with a 2.0 60' and dyno'd 373RWHP.

Nice results OP - that's some damn good power for cam-only. I'm hoping to hit around 460/410 with a similar setup although bigger cam and AFR heads. I dynoed before with an LS6 intake, ported TB, Halltech CAI, and 4 deg less timing (was seeing some knock at that time) and it was only about 440 SAE. I think the better timing with ported 90/90 should at least gain 20 hopefully.

The DA of your run and his may play a part in it not to mention different drivers.

Yea that pass was on stock master so i had problems shifting at high rpm's. I have now upgraded to the tick master and i was out at sacramento raceway two nights ago and i was trapping 124-125 i just was not able to hook off the line there even with my dr.

Thanks alot. I am thinking about going the afr route. A buddy of mines wants $1500 + my stock ls6 heads and he will give me his afr 205's installed. I am just going to wait till they kick me off the track with my current set up. 11.49's or faster your car is required to have a cage.

That's a pretty good deal especially if he's going to install them. I bought my AFRs used with about 3K miles on them for $1800 which included ARP head bolts but I installed them myself. I would recommend going with some cometic 0.040" head gaskets to bump up compression a little and to help with quench. In fact I would also mill your AFRs to 62cc or smaller as well for some compression. Mine are and it's around 11.3:1 compression with the cometics. Oh and trapping 124-125 is great for stock heads. Best I could muster was 121.5 at 1100 DA with my stock clutch starting to slip in 4th. I threw on a McLeod twin disk and vararam CAI and will hit the track later this summer/fall. Shooting for 123-124+ at 1000+ DA. Our elevation here is 1000' so it's tough to get a good DA. Might try a little powershifting next time as well - I'm also running the Tick MC, new slave, and the new clutch. Hope the rear end doesn't blow - I've got a spare diff sitting in my garage just in case!

Thanks for the advice.Im not sure of what the da was on my 124-125 passes but i have been told that it is great up here in cali. Like i said im still thinking about the heads because first issue is i really dont want to put a cage in my corvette. I know the track will let me get away right now with my current set up dipping under the 11.50's here and there but with the heads i know thats going to put me way deep into the 11's maybe even high 10's. 2nd i am worried about breaking my rear end. I have already upgraded my tranny to the level II from tick.
