Dont wanna step on anyone's toe's but on our DYNOCOM we run some of the fastest outlaw cars in the country

Just ask Joe Newsham,Mustang Mike Modeste,Billy Mitchell,Tom Kasper or Steve Gorman
The list goes on and on...

Shawn u know who we are, why would we lie?
Hell we have tested back to back from our shop to a dynojet---->3RWHP DIFFERENCE

Dyno's r a tool nothing more..

It's all good Joel. The dyno did what I wanted it to, it gave me a baseline for future mods and let the guy know who's buying my heads that they aren't junk and perform.

468 on your dynocom, ~440'ish on a dynojet, whatever... makes no difference to me.

My car is a 2000, so it came with 853 heads, but once a head is ported, there's no difference really between a 241 and a 853 head.

No track numbers for me. The car is simply a show / street car. I used to race back in 2000-2003 but I got tired of braking **** constantly. Between clutches, transmissions etc, I didn't get any joy out of it.
I was questioning the head casting numbers because of the title??? Not the flow/dyno numbers.

Ok, sorry for the confusion. Back in 2002, I had the set of 853 heads hand ported, milled, 5-angle valve job done. The point was, it's an 8 year old combination that still makes good power, whatever the exact number is.

I read on here all the time about guys with 'cnc'd' heads and monster cams putting down less than 400 ft/lbs of torque and that's sad in my opinion considering I did that 8 years ago with factory castings that were hand ported.

Here's my take. I made 430/408 back in 2002 with an ls6 intake, mac headers, shitty ypipe, and a crappy ls1 edit tune. Look at the thread where the guy gained 30hp/20tq from adding a ported 85mm Fast and underdrive pully. I added qtp longtubes, ported FAST 90/90, larger maf and lid, cutom tune, light flywheel (>16lbs less) so even if I made the same 30hp/20tq gain, that would put me at 460/428.

The car is super fun to drive on the street and I can't wait to step up to the PI heads and custom cam. With everything else I've done, it should make for about 480/440 on a dynojet, but that's for the dyno racers to debate. Ed at Virginia speed thinks that's underestimating it a little, but it's conservative.

don't get into the dyno numbers...just use as a comparision...wish it was on a different dyno though or at least had some track times (mph) to see where the car is at...right now it is a shot in the dark at guessing...

looking forward to the pi heads...

I know, track times are a good balance for dyno numbers, but I'm not about to hit the track running on 19s and with a factory 10-bolt with 3.73s. Best track time I had was an 11.78 @118 mph back in 2003 on street tires. That was with a 1.9x 60' and certainly not powershifting.

It's a tr224, 224/224 .563/.561 on a 111.9lsa with 4 degrees advance ground in.
