Default v coupe dyno comparo

Gary,

In response to what you sent me, your orignal post doesn't express the difference between STD and SAE correction factors. It expresses the difference out put of two totally different dynos.

All I was stating was this.... running your car on two different dyno on two different days does not add any real value. 1st dyno result obtain on 09/20/2010 and the 2nd was taken on 10/04/2010.

Later in your thread you discussed some differences between STD and SAE... My comments were based on the orignal post.

to my understanding is that dynojet does give about a 15% average increase of a mustang dyno from few person experences and from others around but keep in mind how old is the software on each and any calibrations that have or havenot been made to them so on but in my mind the sae is the one i prefer (dynojet)

Sorry for the poorly laid out chart but it is my personal opinion that different brands should not have this much dispersion and that some dyno brands continually read low and some read continually high. It is also my opinion that the actual RWHP & / or RWTQ of the '09 & up CTS-V does not vary that much. I do prefer seeing SAE corrected charts as compared to seeing any one of the other correction factors or none at all. Another current trend is seeing a dyno chart posted that is cut off at the end without explanation. And without knowing whether the dyno operator cut it off or the car owner. I personally would not accept a chart that has been cut off, and I verify from the dyno operator what I will get from him in the way of a chart before having him start.
