DA was about -1000 when I got my limited runs in, the goal is bottom tens, anything beyond that is bonus. The last clutch before this one launched hard, but I could not get it to shift over 7k. This one would not hold the power at all. Im done with single discs, soft lok is $2500 so for now thats out, im going with a twin disc most likely, ~1400.

Thanks, I would try the tex but im pretty sure it will be close to the monster, which held great, but have you tried shifting it @ 7600? This modified ram just would not hold anything... I think Im going with the mcleod street twin, it's a borg and beck long style PP plate and is light @ ~35lbs with the flywheel... Already spent more than the price of a twin disc in clutches that havent worked.....

yes, it seemed fine on the street, did some launches and high rpm shifts, it was fine.... as soon as the slicks gripped the track it was done.

i ran the street twin and at rpm past 7200 it was junk. The tex has worked great at anything over 7k plus. And i put over 300 7 k hits on mine. But i have stepped up to the mcload slipper well see. Plus light fly wheels suck for a stick.

But I'll never go back to a heavy flywheel.... dropped my 60's from the low 1.5's high 1.4's to the 1.42-1.43 range consistantly.... with a 15lb chrome moly one.

My car **** a twin as well. Started slipping bad. It was the mcloud street twin. Had a tex. and it had the typical problems, didn't wanna pwr shift high PRM. I now have a Monster lv 6 with the chromoly flywheel. Flawless thus far. Been the best driving clutch too. I love it. Never shifted it at 7600 tho....
Good luck man.

+ 1 For Monster clutches...I have been thru 3 Ram Hd's...#1 Spit a spring out & jammed inbetween the PP & Flywheel then blew my entire hyd. system.# 2 A free replacement from Ram,# 3 Slipped in 3rd on the $ run at ARM DROP LIVE in Memphis,Tn.I am only shifting at 7000 RPM as well as leaving at 7000RPM So far there have been no issues with the Monster set up. '72 SS Camaro m6 346 h/c set up 430rwh [stock short block] 11.43's @ 119mph on et streets.....Rod Bolts & Custom Pat G. Cam coming this winter.
