Low dyno number?

Default Low dyno number?

Ok I am alittle disappointed. I recently went and had my car tuned and was sadly disappointed at the number I got. I was hoping someone could tell me if this is low or about on average. I was hoping for at least 400rwhp. Well I only got 359.9. I purchased a LY6 crate motor and deleted the vvt. Installed a custom comp cam I purchased here specs are .224-.228 and .581-.571. Heads are stock L92. I did use edelbrock headers 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 3 inch exhaust all the way out. 4l80e trans with a 3200 stall. What do I need to do in order to get the HP to around 420-450rwhp. It was tuned on a mustang dyno.

Was the converter unlocked? That'll drop hp quick, especially with a stall. My ls3 cammed roller rockers on stock ls3 heads and intake made 350. But I was on stock 98 intake box and exhaust. When I changed to edelbrock stepped headers and slp lid I felt alottt more power, my setup choked at like 2500 rpms. Pics of your graph would help.

That tranny kills dyno #'s. Add that to running it on a Mustang dyno. Sounds like a track car -go run it.

Don't fret. My car did just under 430whp on a Dynojet when it was M6. I took the same car, added a 4L80 and a SS4000 converter, no other changes, then ran it on a Slowhawks Mustang Dyno with the converter unlocked. The numbers were bad, something like 375whp. I paid it no mind. I went to the track on a nice cool day and it gained over a full second in the 1/4 and trapped 4-5 mph faster. I was flyin'.

The style of dyno reads 15 too 25 lower than others and the converter being unlocked took probably 15 25 so the world was against your car that day strong numbers considering all was Against it

Well, first..... you have a

low compression motor
less than desireable camshaft and camshaft timing events
12 bolt
and the infamous bullet proof tranny but powerrobing for dyno's

Should be fine at the track but I don't care for the cam specs especially with the comp your running....... your DCR I bet is very low..... So don't expect any real big numbers... The combination is obtuse......

Mill those heads and get another camshaft lobe grinds.....

I take it the lsa is 113-114ish?

pm me...... The combination is off....

if you locked the tranny
or dyno'd on a dynojet, the numbers would still be pressed for where you want to go...real talk
