Default Vengeance Racing installs Whipple 2.9L Supercharger on 2010 Camaro.. Results inside!!

This was our first Whipple Install for the 2010 Camaro. We have built several dozen TVS2300 powered Camaros so we were quite anxious to see how the Whipple compared in quality and performance.

The Car: STOCK 2010 LS3 Camaro

The Modifications:

Whipple 2.9L Supercharger system
FIC Modified LS3 Fuel Injectors
Kenny Bell Boost Pump
American Racing 1 7/8 Stainless Longtube Headers
CATTED X pipe
Installation/Tuning by Vengeance Racing
STOCK AIR BOX
STOCK CATBACK
12 psi peak
Pump gas

The Results: 613RWHP/574RWTQ... This is a gain of 251RWHP/209RWTQ over stock. I am confident we could pull another 20rwhp or more out of this combo with a new clutch. The customers clutch did not like the added power AT ALL and let us know by the smell it put off after each run. We stopped tuning with a VERY conservative # to keep the clutch in tact for a little while for the customer.

Fit & finish is incredible!!! The kit itself is very detailed and includes EVERYTHING needed for install down to a replacement K&N Panel filter. The best thing I can say about this supercharger system is that after 6 dyno pulls I could lay my hand on the blower and it was warm to the touch. Coolant temp in the intercooler was also warm to the touch but would not burn you...

Below are some pics of the completed installation.

Vengeance Racing is now a dealer for Whipple Superchargers!!! We believe this is the best available option to date for the 2010 Camaro!!! Give us a call for incredible pricing!!!!

Nice results. Any idea if this kit will work on a G8? I would rather run a Whipple than a TVS blower.

Thanx guys!! We were very pleased with the results especially knowing their is more in it with a new clutch..

ringram, I believe the Whipple is a bit more efficient than its competitors.. Partly due to the larger displacement of the blower itself and partly due to its intercooler/heat exchanger design. As I said charge temps and intercooler temps were much more controllable than what we have previously seen.

Sorry guys I didnt get a video. We finished tuning LATE Friday night (Saturday 230am) and I was attending an event we sponsor when the customer picked up his car over the weekend.

Chris, we have quite a few 2010 Camaros and Vettes riding around on 650rwhp with no issue. That is about as much as I feel safe with on the stock pistons....

I was hoping for a video, but at least the numbers look great with a lot left in the car! Can't wait to start seeing more of these out there!

I tune one on a L99 2010 camaro, are they still keeping the IAT in the MAF(by looking at the pictures it looks like it is) the one i tune the IAT was still in the MAF, so the IAT's post blower were unknown, unfornuately on my loaded dyno i was getting alot of KR with soft timing and AF.... i didnt perform the work on the car so i was **** out of luck i had to tune it super safe and ship it.... if you didnt relocate IAT post blower how did you monitor you IAT's like you stated earlier in this thread??

Thanx guys. Customer seems to be VERY happy with his new power.

As for pulley size I believe it was a 3.750

Ryne,

We actually relocated the IAT. Hard to see in the picture, but this was one downfall of the kit that we did not feel safe with.
