Default highest dyno through stock WS6 exhaust

What have you guys seen as the highest dyno through a stock WS6 exhaust? How much did you gain through the cutout?

Cheers,
Chris

Not quite stock, the I pipe was replaced with about 2 feet of 3 inch pipe when I had my cut out removed.( I lowered the car and tore it up) I dynoed 428 with the stock muffler.

TEA 5.3 S2, milled .010
MMS 229/229 114
Volant intake(since changed back to a MTI lid)
EWP
ASP
FLP's, W/ orp's
YT's
It's an M6 with a Moser 12, W/ 4.10's, only had about 75 miles on the rear when it dynoed.(if that matters).
No cutout or ported tb.

428rwhp and 407 rwtq.

I have since added a ported tb and went to Magnaflow cat back and will re-dyno soon.

Spellbound,

Was the over the axle portion of the pipe stock? How loud was the exhaust at idle and WOT with the ORY?

Those are good numbers!

Thanks guys!

Yes, the over the axle part was stock. It was pretty loud at idle and WOT, but not as loud as my Girlfriends Z/28, with FLP's,w/ cats, Corsa and stock internals.

Chris, I had a dual-dual on the Formula, with a 3.5" midpipe/cutout/reducer. It pulled 501 rwhp thru the muffler, 525 rwhp thru the cutout. I haven't seen any gains from guys swapping from a factory WS6 catback to a dual-dual, probably similar mufflers.

Thanks guys...

I bought a used WS6 dual outlet catback off a guy with an 01 car. It has the cutout over the intermediate pipe where it goes over the axle.

I want to have the car quieter than it is now with my dynomax ultraflo single in/out muffler but still pull decent numbers closed and open through the cutout.

Thanks again,
Chris

Chris,
I dynoed:
361.7RWHP/464.1RWTQ w/convertor unlocked and cutout shut
376.9RWHP/480RWTQ w/convertor unlocked and cutout open

Setup in sig - stock WS6 catback with cutout right before it goes over the axle. The car is very quiet with the cutout closed - someone at the dyno was mentioning that they couldn't believe how quiet it was. I like to stay stealthy on the street.

There is more in there - I ran out of injector, so we called it quits. 30#ers are on the way, then we will go back to the dyno. Might get one pull with convertor locked to see the difference (don't know if I want to risk damage though).

More importantly, want to see what the track times look like!

I dynoed yesterday with only a lid, filter, G2 MAF, and bellows and pulled a 349.2/363.1 actual....SAE corrected was 332.8/343.4. I plan on keeping the stock cat-back, and running LT's, ORY and a cutout. I'll keep you guys posted.

Beware... this will be LOUD even going through the cat-back... way louder than anything you could achieve with any cat-back alone. I shudder to think how loud that will be with a cut-out. I have it going through the cat-back - no cut-out - and I love it. But I was SHOCKED at the loudness when I first fired her up and took her for a spin.

By the way, I have pretty much the same mods as you right with the addition of the headers, ORY, and Corsa cat-back. I saw 345 rwhp and 360 rwtq SAE corrected.
